Wow. Maybe I don't care so much about no OLN. I think I'll spend my summer watching Bonds chase Ruth and Aaron.

He'll be chasing them mostly from the bench.
eta - if at all. HA. The team doesn't miss him or his bad publicity and are winning without him. Funny that.

Linen can look very good on the right man, but I think you're right, most linen shirts you can buy in a department store seem to be cut for the fat man on vacation.

Stay away from the wannabe-hip and clubby type of nightlife, then. A (girl) friend of mine was at the Rockit Bar here in Chicago (where apparently Jen Sheff hangs out...every night), and she said that WHITE linen and seersucker jackets were everywhere, and that a few guys had their white jacket sleeves rolled up...pastel t-shirts underneath, too.

Here he is on vacation with Jake in Hawaii. I think he got Kona Coffee Bbq Sauce on his linen shirt and had to substitute this one.
TM
edited by Not Bob to fix a typo -- and truly honored to be able to do so for a fellow fan of that fine television show, "Jake and the Fat Man." I think TM has already done "Simon and Simon," so I'll be looking for a "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" reference at an appropriate time.

Now that I'm thinking about it, the guest of honor at the birthday party I went to on Saturday night was wearing white seersucker. He looked good.

ITunes
Can somebody tell me why my computer freezes up when I try to import music from CD to iTunes? I just got a 60GB iPod this weekend and am having no luck. I've got Windows XP on a fairly new computer.

It found my last four addresses, and it thinks that I am my sister. Interesting...

There was an article about Zaba in the SF Chronicle on Friday, full of David Lazarus's usual hysteria. Color me underwhelmed. It pulls up lots of hits and addresses, but gives you nothing else for free, right?
Is it possible that a Tyrone Slothrop is living at 3134 Gurney Avenue in St. Louis, MO? The mind boggles.

How do you think I earned the first cookie bouquet? Fringey is tough, but fair.
