I just saw an ad for TGIFridays that they now have some deep-fried mac'n'cheese bites appetizer. Anyone tried this yet? If so, how does it compared to a deep-fried candy bar on a stick?

Itunes has really hit a niche: satisfy people who want instant music gratification. Think of song, search for song, buy song and listen to song, all in 1 minute. I haven't bought a bit of music any other way in 18 months. CD stores are going to go the way of the record stores, the way of the TV repair shop.

One question: why are cars so far behind in audio technology? Does anyone even use the regular cd player any more? All I have is an ipod shuffle specifically for the car that plugs right in.

I would love something with a USB port that allows me to scroll through the songs on an ipod.

Me too, except for the part about sex with Jennifer Connelly before she went all Skeletor.

one ot the guys who have rang the register plenty on contingency cases ruined my best recent day:

I had tried and won my first contigency case and settled it. the settlement was low 7 figures (not the firm's take the whole thing) but we stepped in late and it was a great feeling- and was really a very nice payday- as I say my first contingency.

The day the money got wired, I read this knucklehead had gotten a $165 MILLION verdict against Microsoft.

He'll still go to work, because "going to work" includes going to London next week if he wants.
The key is business development. If you have that gene, you too can work 4 days a month, take summers off, send the kids to Choate and have someone else drive you around while the worker bees check your shit for typos.

Depends. Does your law firm let you shit your pants and eat green jello for dinner?

You know that movie where she gets trapped in the Target overnight? The one where the male lead says something to her like "I would want to touch you even if you were covered in spiders"?

I love that movie.

Thing is, none of the people I'm talking about work four days a month. They are all full time lawyers, and happy as pigs in shit.

Though the biz dev is a key ingredient to this, absolutely.

I love that movie.

A Jennifer Connelly-related line second only to "ass to ass" in Requiem for a Dream.*

I have had fried mac and cheese balls at Cheesecake Factory. They were delicious. Worth all 2,000 calories and 60 fat grams, I assure you.

I have also had fried mac and cheese sticks at some restaurant in Vegas. See above.

I have never had a candy bar on a stick though, so I can't answer your question.

I have it on good authority that the deep-fried mac and cheese on a stick at the State Fair is delicious. I have personally tried the deep-fried candy bar on a stick. Here is what I have to say about that: Do not go to Flaming Lips concerts on drugs. No good can come of it.

to put him on ignore I had to hound RT for 3 days. she really didn't want me to do so.

If I take him off, then need to put him back on later she'd have my ass.
