If you do, first ask them if they have recently magged the third and fourth vertical joints. If they look at you blankly, ride the merry-go-round instead.

But the merry-go-round (and the ferris wheel) scares me. All that spinning in circles, the mean horses, the swans, the crying - I can't take it. Besides, there are no seat belts on those things.

Have we done this one?

What is your favorite piece of playground equipment? For me it is a tie between the that little gate that swings 360 degrees and the cement pipe that is large enough for late middle school/early junior high kids to make out in.

It is within a two or so hours of where I live, but I have never ridden it. Apparently a lot of people who wished to didn't as it was broken down for a good half of it's first season, which was last year.

I have talked to people who have* though, and they tell me that it is insane.

* Please note that these are the same kind of people who like to spend half of their day in the park waiting in line for a single ride.

swings. I've heard* that they make them for adults now too.

And, ABBA, just for you, a link to Dan's (from Miami Real World) blog in which he emphatically states that America's Next Top Model is The Best Show Ever: http://danrenzi.typepad.com/stuff/20...st_tv_sho.html

This "editorial" rocked. I cannot wait to catch up on the episodes I have missed.

I also know there's a song called Monkey Bars because it was on a cd a friend has with the great line "it's like being Arabic, going from right to left" or something like that. Anyway, it's a good CD. Bilmore might want to check it out. No hoes or bitches, as far as I can recall.

HOw long does it take from beginning to end? Like 12 seconds? The promo says you're going as fast at the end as in the beginning (120). I have ridden some scary-ass coasters in my day, but there is a "view from the top" photo that made my stomach knot up. I'm not sure even I could do this one - but it would be fun to watch, I'm sure.

Is this just a random musing or does this post have a point? Regardless, I also like maple flavored sluts.

If you've had one, you've had them all.

But the first one's good.

Roller Coasters

Is that one of the most vertical roller coasters in the world? What is the minimum number of degrees greater than 90 that the track has to be for an ordinary roller coaster car to travel on it at that speed without flying off?

By the way, a few years ago there was a TV documentary about thrill rides and the guys (I think they were all men) who design them. They seem to have a hell of a lot of fun doing it, but it's also a seriously competitive field, as every new thrill ride has to top the one that preceded it as well as the others that are in development.

You're not suggesting that I need to have a point to post something, are you?
