He may have been fucking with us, but it was long enough ago that I'm taking it as sincere.

Are you suggesting sarcasm has a "sell by" date?

Wasn't this originally in some crappy 80's movie, like Lethal Weapon 2 or something like that? Action Jackson, maybe? I have a vivid memory of finding that shit incredibly funny and innovative in 8th grade or so, but maybe it's been around forever.

Speaking of "been around forever," has anyone see the Arisocrats yet? I think that it would be a great date movie.

Just wondering.

It was in The Last Boy Scout:

"Sure, sure, it just happened. Could happen to anybody. It was an accident, right? You tripped, fell on the floor and accidently stuck your dick into my wife. 'Oops, I'm sorry, Mrs. H, I guess this just isn't my week'."

Don't ask me how I know this.

I want to know where Steven Colbert's show is. He was supposed to be doing some show after the Daily Show every night (to fill in space left by Chappelle). But I haven't seen even an ad for it yet.

Colbert needs a movie, bad. He should have played a sleazy reporter in Anchorman. His Daily Show bits are alwasy just unreal (although Corddry, Ed Helms and Samantha Bee are running close behind and getting better every day).
It's The Colbert Report. I think it's due sometime this fall.

Agree with you on Colbert generally. I will miss This Week in God.

She is currently in production of a son, due out August 2. Sounds like she's also been doing LA area shows. Link.

I gues that's proof that I still found this kind of juvenile shit funny in high school, too.

Boy, I had forgotten that one and hos dark it was. Imdb has this Roger Ebert quote about it: "The only consistent theme of the film is its hatred of women." Sounds about right. I still remember that scene where the football player is high and pulls a gun out of his uniform to shoot the defensive play in his way. I could be getting it confused with "The Program," though.

Curse him! His cruelty knows no bounds! He will not hesitate to toy with the most sacrosanct principles of internet social interaction simply to gratify his vicious whims.

What can be said about a man who uses the traditional community-building exercise of a five-best albums poll to satisfy his smirking sense of superiority? Cast him out now, I say.

given that the top grossing TV show ever was basically a ripoff of shandling's first show, he deserves a couple stolen lines.

"Married with Children" was not a ripoff. It only used Shandling as a springboard to achieve greater heights than Gary could have ever imagined.

I always liked John Candy. Uncle Buck is one of my favorite "coming of age" movies. He was able to blend the slapstick with a certain pathos in most of his roles that none of the current crop of SNL alums can manage. Had he survived, I think he would have matured as an actor in much the same way Bill Murray has.

A few things:

What happened to the US the Office? There was all this hype and then nothing. Was it canceled?

The 40 year-old virgin looks totally funny.

I'm going to watch Anchorman tonight.

I'm not a big Owen Wilson fan. As I think I've said many times, Bottle Rocket bored me so much I was forced to give my then-husband a blowjob in the movie theater. I think maybe it's his hair. Liked him alright in Wedding Crashers and Zoolander though.
