We can't go on hurting each other.

I got laid last night and this morning, and then I got worried that I just like my boyfriend for his penis. Because if he had a small penis there is no way we would be together -- and we both know that. However, things are fine, because right now I am very preoccupied with activities that don't involve spending time with my boyfriend for anything other than sex and a occasional dinner. So there you are.

Great question.
I ain't got nobody
Nobody, nobody cares for me
Nobody, nobody
I'm so sad and lonely
Sad and lonely, sad and lonely
Won't some sweet mama come and take a chance with me
'Cause I ain't so bad

I have a pair of AE cordovans. They're heavy but they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. It only took two or three wearings to break them in--probably because they already fit my feet well. Apart from quality, I think a lot of shoe preference has to do with individual foot shape. Some AE models fit me well, others less so. Different makers have different lasts, footbed shapes, and arch positions/height tendencies.
I have a 10-year-old pair of Johnston & Murphy cap toe shoes. They look great with this one suit I have. I rarely wear them, though, b/c even after 10 years I'll still get heel blisters if I walk 20-30 blocks to work in them.
If you have a heavy leather like cordovan and all the variables aren't aligned, you'll never break them in. Ever.
I've been meaning to give Alden's a shot. Problem is, I'm one pair of shoes away from the AE free pair offer. (As a frequent customer, you get a punched decal every time you buy a pair of shoes. If you buy 12 pair, you get your next pair free.)

To NotBob, the mayor of Whoville
I feel my heart expanding...to three times its former size! I might even have a present for you on my sled. Mean-spirited, indeed.
Happy Friday.

I was thinking of buying a pair of Alden Cordovan oxfords but if I hear that they are hot, that won't work.
I'll wait until I am back at the Allen Edmonds outlet in Wisconsin in December.

Cordovan is horse hide. Horse ass hide, to be precise. The hide is made to withstand things like riding through briars and riding along barbed wire fencing. It's very tough and very nonporous.

Palm is what powers the Treo, and many tech gurus maintain the Treo is far and away technologically superior to anything RIM or Microsoft Mobile offer.

Allen-Edmonds has about a dozen different lasts that they use. The model numbers of the shoes indicate which last is used for which shoe. If you go to their web site, they explain the differences and how to tell which last is used for which shoe.
For instance, I really like the look of the Fairfax. I was going to buy them in both back and brown. However, I learned from the web site that they are stretched on the narrowest last AE uses. MY foot is wider than that, so I wound up choosing a different model.

I'd think vapid layers would be transparent (or at least translucent) -- why peel away and risk reproducing?

I don't have time to do a song parody today, but that "Obsession" song from the '80's is going through my head.
"You're my obsession..."

Thanks--this is very helpful. I'm used to just muddling through at the store.
