I've heard there are some really nice townhomes in South Amboy, and that there's a high speed ferry service between there and Manhattan. If I had to work too late to catch the ferry, is this commute doable by kayak?

I'm not much of a kayaker myself, but I'm sure this is doable. Just get yourself a headlight, and you should be fine.

Put my vote in the "Texans are an idiot" column.
I hope hope hope the Bills draft Leinart, but everyone seems to think it's a DT, probably the one from FSU. No wonder the Bills suck, they never take the studs from the Pac-10.
Everyone's forecasting the pretty boy to wind up at Arizona. That guy's a freakin' golden child. Get to throw to Fitzgerald and Boldin for the next 10 years . . . unreal.

I'm baffled with the Texans. I think the best options were to 1) pick Bush, as he's just one of those rare special players that only come around every 10-20 years, or 2) trade down for more picks (i think the jets might have entertained a trade and they also had a few 1st round picks) and pick up more positions for the same $54M they are paying Williams, as they have needs in just about every position. Heck, maybe the best 3rd option would be to sign Vince Young, let Carr absorb all the hits the next two years, then trade him and let Vince play. Williams may turn out to be a great player, but I don't think he's going to be that big of a playmaker/QB killer the texans are hoping for. Frankly, he didn't do that much in college and I don't think the NFL is gonna be any softer than that.
RT--feel free to start rooting for the niners, we also suck, but we have better weather.
ETA: I forgot all about the offensive lineman that the Jets picked fourth. He would have been nice too, ya know.

You'll note I didn't mention New Jersey. It is possible there is a reason for this.

Mexico Legalizes Coke & Heroine
The Mexico is set to legalize possession of small quantities of coke, heroine, and other drugs.
The Flower will be happy to know that LSD and shrooms were among the drugs legalized.

My husband always told me, "Remind me never to live in New Jersey."
Luckily, it's never come up.

The Bills got a guy with their 3d round pick (Ashton Youbouty) who was higher rated in most mock drafts than the guy they took with the #8 pick overall. They also traded up to the #26 spot to take a guy most pundits had going in the late second round. I think Marv Levy has lost his mind.
Congrats to the Eagles getting Winston Justice in the second round, and to the Titans getting LenDale White in the second round. Perhaps the USC shocker of the day was Frostee Rucker going on the first day (round 3 to the Bengals) while Darnell Bing (first rounder in some mocks in February) did not.
I like the Jets taking two rock solid OLs with their first rounders. Good discipline.
I know the Steelers don't have a lot of holes, but taking two WRs on the first day seems odd. Especially when one of them's Willie Reid.
Houston seems to have redeemed itself a bit with the DeMarco Ryans and Eric Winston selections; those guys are studs.
I'm shocked the Jags took the two UCLA kids. Very interesting to see if Mercedes Lewis turns out to be worth a first round pick. I doubt it. Maurice Drew could be anything, from pro bowl to marginal 3d down back.
Titans did great in my book. Vince Young and LenDale are big upgrades, especially if they can give Young a year to learn.
But my top grade goes to the Arizona Cardinals. Leinart at 10, Deuce Latui in the second round (best guard I've ever seen in college), and Leonard Pope in the third round. Hubba Bubba.
Oh and Hank, the Lions got a steal in the 3d round with Brian Calhoun. Just you wait.
