They were made with ice milk instead of ice cream. And they were meant to be a lot thicker than the milkshakes (much more ice milk used than we used ice cream in the shakes). Fribble mix (ice milk) was notoriously hard to scoop when you first brought it out of the walk in because it was stored at the same temp as the ice cream. My high school boyfriends were all dully impressed with my left wrist strength as a result of scooping the Fribble mix. Oh, wait, I probably wasn't supposed to say that.

Coffee Fribbles with chocolate jimmies (I called them sprinkles) were the way to go.

Yes!!! I was not only a waitress, but a cook as well. My fellow cooks are probably all in jail at this point.

Those polyester fast food uniforms are the vilest garments invented. You cannot wash the frying oil smell out of them. I did a 3 week stint at Burger King to earn my college graduation fees. I had one uniform and washed every time I worked but the smell stayed there. I quit as soon as I could and could not stomach the smell of french fries for months.

You can stay in a VW bus through the entire trip. Did it one winter (friend had a broken VW bus behind the fraternity house). We all wanted to get out and walk around, but it was so cold, and those things make you feel kinda cold.

I never worked in food service, unless you count bagging/carrying out groceries the summer after I graduated from high school. I babysat a lot. Now I eat a lot, and don't like kids so much.

Hmmmmmmm.

Hmmmmmmm, indeed. My summers while in college, I did document type work for a law firm, and now I don't like documents at all. Coincidence? No such thing . . .

Wow. You might just be right. It looks like I've got some serious thinking to do. Time to look inward, and I'm not sure I'm going to like what I see. Looks like another sleepless night for Flower.

Yay!! I miss our Friendly's discussions. Well, I don't miss them right now because we just had one, but we really must do this frequently enough that I am capable of remembering the Friendly's crew. Secret handshake? Maybe we can let Ty know the first half of it since he made it through some portion of a shift there? Although I doubt he got to wear the polyester checked dress, so maybe he's not really a member of the club at all.

I never worked food service or retail--putting me at the tool table once again. I did spend four summers at a fruit cannery, though. AND my grandpa was an Aggie (hi, RT!).*

tm

*We spent part of Thanksgiving weekend divvying up stuff at my grandma's house. No, she's not dead, but they just moved her into assisted living and are getting ready to sell her house. I scored for my brother an Aggie music box (as well as my grandpa's slide rule, in leather case marked with his name and class). The musical part is broken, but I bet it played the fight song. Wonder if there's a way to get it fixed?

Assjack

I have been a continuing fan of "assjack" for years. This may be an (other?) indication I am pretentious. Oh well.

If you're thinking of buying the GX, say within your budget and get the RX, or get the LX. Nothing's worse than a mid range car. It says you want the big one but can't hack it, but have too much ego to get the small one (an RX has the same room a GX does).

*In fairness, an LX is pretty lame as well. You're a pretty fancy fuckwad when the Landcruiser doesn't have enough goodies for you.
I opted for the stripped 4runner and a year of private school for pony junior.
