Were any of these people there?

Holy crap! I thought CSI just made that up! This really exists?

BTW, that was a great CSI episode. I find myself getting drawn into the show, even though at least once per episode I find myself thinking it's too stupid for words. Usually this comes around the time they decide to re-canvas a house crimescene at night, without turning on any lights, with just their flashlights.

It was written aobut in Savage Love long before it hit CSI. Apparently there is "furry art" that is pornographic. Like, porn drawings of people's animal personas. I only ended up at those sites at work so have never clicked.

Really? You might want to check your recent hits list. I think a kitty might have been downloading recently when you were out of the house...

The cat is neutered. Neutered, I tell you. It would never ever look at kitty porn.

Classic Video Games

That said, trust me, it plays really really well. I think it's called Super Challenge baseball. There's also a game called "Stampede" that plays really well. When I first moved to LA, I bought a 2600 on eBay with a bunch of games, and would get faded, crank up my Mack 10 CDs and play Stampede.
Stampede = muy dope. Faded & playing a cattle-roping video game, does it get any better than that?

I really need to pick up a 2600 now. While the xbox graphics are pretty, I long for the mindless pleasure of those old games.

1. Dissent. Any discussion of video games that neglects

cannot be taken seriously. Atari Football is still fun to play. I'd buy one if I could find one.

2. I didn't like "Defender" but the News Radio episode where Dave reveals his past history with the game (and its effect on his life) is hilarious.

3. Dissent. "Spy Hunter" was a great game. Plus, it had the theme to Peter Gunn. They're even coming out with a sequel.

4. Nobody mentioned "Gauntlet" with the "Death" character who would drain life from you until you died unless you had a potion; "Street Fighter 2" which was endlessly entertaining, especially when you were beating up your buddy; or "NBA Jams/NFL Blitz" which were great games.

5. Am I also the only one who notices that whenever they show someone on TV playing a videogame, they are almost always using the music/sound effects to the Atari 2600 version of Pac Man? Is that public domain stuff? Did Atari start copyrighting the sound effects after that?

Just in Case You Were Worried

St. Paul, Minn. to repeal law that has barred cross dressing in public since 1890

RuPaul would be relieved, if (s)he weren't twelve years past his/her sell by date.

It was a great episode. That whole plush fetish group sex with costumes on thing freaked me out a little bit.

I read that yesterday after I saw the gushingly positive reviews on Salon and NYT. It's like he watched a different movie. Comparing it to Godfather III?!?!? Come on!
