I love the Four Runner. That's a fucking truck. I still kick myself for getting a Pathfinder instead of the FR years ago. But that was back when the FR had a sissy engine in it.

A relative of mine just bought an FJCruiser. I wanted to hate it becauseit's uglier than sin. You know what? It's a fucking great little truck for offroading. Son of a bitch goes up and down anything. Great car if you're entirely impractical in your car purchases.

Hmmmmmmm.

I worked in 8th grade as well...

A paper route counts, right?

I did too. babysitting. I've worked forever it seems. hostessing in a restaurant in high school and in college, retail and temping in college...

From the girls at Fugly:

Billy Crudup's skeevey factor:

"So, Billy, to borrow from your Mastercard commercials:

Shampoo: $5.99

A Gillette Fusion (you are going to need all 5 blades): $9.99

Shaving cream: $2.29

Not looking like Kevin Federline's older brother: Priceless (yet also a very affordable $18.27 plus tax, so why the haste?)"
____
Car with a Bow:

I think it is a little overwrought. Not to say I wouldn't want one but it seems to be a showy, flashy way of saying "I'm throwing money around" Prudie had a letter on this, one brother newly wealthy bought his parents expensive cars and the other siblings freaked!!!

I started out waitressing, moved to hostess/cashier when I got burned out on that, moved to bartender when I decided that would be fun, and knew how to expedite when needed. I also opened a few restaurants for them as a corporate trainer.
I also had short stints at a catering company and an Italian restaurant.
Freshman year during Christmas break I got a job at Macy's to pay for presents and to have a little extra cash. They were interviewing for part-time sales positions. Even though I was attending a great college and looked presentable (if I do say so myself, and I do, motherfuckers), I was assigned to dishwashing at the restaurant, while the white dude from a local community college on line behind me who couldn't spell "sale" and who interviewed with the exact same human resources jackass got a sales position.

Of course, when I arrived for work, I saw that everyone in the kitchen was black or hispanic. Good times.*

*It actually turned out to be because they were all cool and we got to hate the sales reps together.

My Korvette's job required a 100 question form be filled out. I was a HS senior, or maybe just graduated. I was there at the same time as another interviewee who was a serious doper from my HS AND quite obviously so.

One question:

"Have you ever smoked marijuana?"

I'm thinking if I answer no it would be quite clear that I was lying. The next question was "Do you still do it today?" So I said yes to the first and no to the second.

Stoner guy told me later he said no to both.

I got a job stocking the sock department. He was appointed to the store security team, which paid lots more. Of course I wouldn't have wanted to be security. I'm sure they have of quota of people they had to bust. Still, to have been unfairly thrown into socks based upon telling the truth did teach a lesson.

Did you guys sit around and make fun of whitey? I bet someone mimicked Eddie Murphy's white man voice!

I can't believe you tolerated such racism.

Vickie's

I worked Christmas help in college [yes Hank, I was much thinner then] at Victoria's Secret. What a gig. yikes. [Beyond the Disney Store which I had to wear a uniform to sling Mickey dolls...]

I was like 19 at the time and these middle aged men used to come in "Hi, I'm buying for my wife she's about your size" and stare at your tits. Oh god. Just thinking about it now I skeeve out. I loved the bath/body products and would slather melon/cucumber moisturizer on my hands.

Retail managers are psycho. I used to work at Ann Taylor for years they were all nuts. each and every one of them.
