Gay films

Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, Oct. 17-23. Main venues: Cinerama (2100 4th Avenue), Harvard Exit (807 E. Roy), Little Theatre (608 19th Ave. E.), Broadway Performance Hall (1625 Broadway), all in Seattle. Individual tickets $9, opening/closing night $15, festival passes $165; student/senior/matinee/late-night discounts available. Tickets can be purchased at any Ticket/Ticket outlet, online at www.ticketwindowonline.com, or by phone at 206-325-6500. Information: 206-323-4274 or www.seattlequeerfilm.com.

"Die Mommie Die!," which premiered at Sundance this year, kicks off the festival with a gala screening at Cinerama tomorrow night, with star Jason Priestley (yes, that would be Jason "90210" Priestley) and director Mark Rucker on hand. The film, making its Seattle premiere here, will open for a regular run at the end of the month; it's a campy pastiche of '50s-'60s melodrama, featuring writer Charles Busch in elegant drag as former singing sensation Angela Arden.
And those who find safety in numbers can flock to Cinerama on Sunday to warble along with "Singin' in the Rain," featuring a newly restored print of that 1952 classic. A glorious feeling, indeed.

So here's my question...is Singin' in the Rain and gay/lesbian film? Did I miss something?

Nothing against them personally. Just their bland white-bread food.
Plus I hear that they don't really enforce those DUI laws up there so strict so I would be risking my life driving on the roads up there.

I'm also thinking that a decent thai restaurant is about 2500 miles away.

Good Thai Food in Kennebunkport!

Kenny is kind of white bread waspy. But Maine really is a diverse area, and until you've tried bean-hole beans with mustard and Moose Shank, you really haven't lived.

Think "showtunes." Also think "Debbie Reynolds is rumored to be a lesbian (or at least bisexual)."

Having seen Charles Busch several times, "Die Mommie Die!" could be hysterical. His "Shanghai Moon" with B.D. Wong was priceless.

I think you will enjoy the Ignore LIst. J[JOKE}, though sadly I have to remove one of your other socks from it to make room for you. It isn't as diverse as Maine is, but everyone is just like you! Unfunny and tedious. Enjoy!

Mekhong Thai Restaurant has become well known for their creative cullinary expertise.
Even the best food seems to taste only as good as the service and atmosphere with which it is served.
At Mekhong Thai Restaurant, courteous waitstaff take great pride in the attentive service they provide its diners. How's that ejucashun system up there?

If that isn't reason enough, it's clear that he has major insecurity issues, what with the 10 cent words, and therein lies the real problem. Dump his ass. Unless he's Randy Johnson.
Aren't you supposed to be drinking gin and getting a mud bath right now?

I would imagine that the description was written by someone for whom English was not the first language. Perhaps someone from Thailand. I cannot presume to speak for Maine, but maybe you should stay where you are, where your hatred and intolerance are . . . um . . . tolerated.

No, don't you remember? He has to work for the man to pay for his bling - the house the wedding the tomato bisque soup.
And he's going to miss his mother's funeral for an important deposition.

Yes, because most asian restaurants get Yale Creative Writing grads to write their ad-copy and menus.
