More importantly, and without further adieu, I would like you to elaborate to me, the rest of the Admins and everyone else here your reasons for these baseless accusations.

Or are you just begging for attention, as usual? |

 | I second that request. If there's something substantial behind the suspicion that we'd be reading any PMs not sent directly to us, I want to know what it is.

 | Do you have a specific grievance? If so, you need to let the admins know. If not, and this is paranoia or muck-raking, it's not very funny.

 | Well, the way it came about was that I was IMing witha Poster Who Shall Remain Nameless about a certain "incident" that was outable that took place awhile back that they had heard about and we were ruminating about the assumed integrity of the administrative role and the ruminating lead to an "I wonder if" type thing. That person said "that's a good question" so I posted it.

Also, I like to stir the shit. |

 | If you question our integrity, there's not much we can do about that except make assurances that we do not have the time or inclination to read PMs that are not directed to us. If you are not satisfied with our assurances, don't use the Private Messaging system.

 | Re the 1st paragraph, it's no big secret - we were IMing about the shrooms you are getting me for Burning Man. This is outable because Paigs is going to meet me at the 7 Sins Lounge at midnight on the Thursday of the event to deliver:

Re the 2nd paragraph, you should meet Atticus.

 | Agreed.

And furthermore, the other admins are correct in that there is no way, using our current software, for the admins to read your PMs. Of course, it is all data, stored in a database (duh), and if an admin wanted to go through the database and look at the PM tables, they most certainly could. However, I think I am the only person who currently knows how to do that, 'cept for maybe leagl.

On that note, the only time I have EVER rummaged through the PM database was when I was trying to give Tyrone his PMs back after his former account got nixed in the last major database crash. During that process I did see some people's PMs, but only because I was trying to track down Ty's messages.

Anyway, if you have something REALLY REALLY SUPER DUPER private that you absolutely don't want any admins or people from the hosting company ever to see ever ever ever and you really really don't trust the admins to keep your secrets, then use IM or e-mail.*

*Or quit the boards altogether.

 I thought not.

I ask this because I found myself today imagining that this BITCH of an opposing counsel in one of my cases can come from giving oral. I don't think she's Canadian, though.

I am starting to suspect that Sebastian Dangerfield was a college suitemate of mine. Let me try this out: Sebby, I was fucking your girlfriend. That was not cool, and I'm sorry.

Ages ago I was convinced I knew someone else on the board, but that was because he really was a fat guy at Willkie, and this was before I realized that people on the FB lie about themselves.
 | Yes. I thought Watchtower was someone I knew growing up, as a coupe of his comments were virtually word for word those of this person. But then I found out he'd died years ago. |
