How would you know? We all know you wouldn't close the deal if the flirter was already on her knees trying to unzip your pants.

Damn flirtist.
Not all woman who flirt with married guys are the same, and not all married guys whom woman flirt with are the same.
So the fact that the waitress is just practicing with you doesn't mean SJ doesn't want TaxWonk. Bad.

OK, true, it does vary. But not all women who flirt with guys with rings are all like hot for married guys.

Sad but mostly true.
Still, I don't get the appeal of married men other than as being safe to flirt with because they are off limits. For me, a wedding ring on a guy is more like one of those red circles with the slash through it.

Jesus H. Christ, Thurgreed -- you give women absolutely no credit. Some of us have a brain and use it to think about things.

You're all nuts. Every last one of you. It you weren't, however, it would probably be boring to pursue you.

Gwinky, you are wasting your talents in law. If you could teach women to stop looking at a guy with major issues and not think they could fix him with enough love, you'd be rich.
And if you could teach women to orgasm just from riding the bus or while giving BJs, you'd be beyond rich!!

You make a good point. However, the reality is that short-term, I am way too self-involved to care to help other people improve their lives, so I overlook the fact that long-term, it could pay off for me. Perhaps I don't use my brain to think about things all the time.

I am completely mesmerized by her--tits, lips, ass, overall lusciousness. I can't imagine what it would be like for those of you who like women, you know, That Way.
Charlize is really really pretty (though she really needs to lay off the tanner/tanning/whatever it is that makes her orange), but doesn't have the same kind of appeal.

You use your brain to think about yourself. That's something.

No, I think you are using your brain just fine. It is those of us who look at a guy and think "hmmm, under that [name your issue] exterior is a really great guy. I could love him enough to change him" who are not using our brains.
In general, men make lousy DIY emotional fixer-upper projects.
ETA: I don't think it works any better for a man to try to "fix" a woman but I don't think men are as susceptible to this as women. Except maybe with respect to physical appearance.
