Well, I just discovered that the arctic cod I've been putting into the water holes for the cheetah and lions to be stimulated by and eat have been disappearing not because they are popular with said lions and cheetahs, and being stalked and hunted down, but because they time out (or something) and spontaneously disappear.

What a letdown. I'm sticking with the lizards.
