Per leg? or do you mean total. If you weigh 114 total you've no business calling other guys "girly."

I lost the weight (current BMI less than 24. Yay!).

BMI doesn't mean shit. It's gotta be percentage of body fat that is meaningful. My BMI is 24.8 and I ain't fat or overweight.*

God fucking damnit. Crap like this pisses me off no end. It's a waste of Medical Board resources to follow up customer service related complaints. If the physician was competent in his evaluation and treatment of the patient, then there's no basis of complaint at all. Not being nice isn't reason to investigate. I've defended physicians in front of medical boards for pretty pissant stuff, but at least there was some medical basis for complaint in those cases.

BMI has a lot of problems, not the least of which is that it breaks down on the edges (it's not very accurate for short, and particularly, very tall people). It also fails to account for high muscle mass in people who are in very, very good shape.
It's easier to calculate than bodyfat percentage, however.
Regardless, the doctor was right, I needed to drop the weight. My point in citing the BMI was that I wasn't off the charts heavy when my doctor lectured me. At my size, the difference between "normal" and "obese" is only about 35 pounds, and the vast majority of people in the world would have even less leeway.

As it is in defamation cases, truth should be an absolute defense against charges of unnecessarily harsh criticism.

And we know Hank's into the sistahs.
I was told by one of my wife's co-workers that some cracker-ass cracker actually tried to pick her up in the Staten Island ferry terminal(!) by letting her know, about three sentences into their entirely one-sided conversation, that he was "you know, really into the sistahs and everything." I definitely plan to hit Halle with that line the next time I see her on the subway platform.

At my internet height of 6'4", I could be 152 pounds and still be on the lower end of the normal scale. If I weighed 152 pounds, they would put me on an IV.

Great, now another round of "frivolous lawsuit" fodder for the insurance companies to use when we are trying to pick a jury in a wrongful death case.
And NH has some of the fattest motherfuckers I ever did see.

Couldn't he have qualified it with "You need to lose weight only if you want to be able to reach to wipe your butt."

Friend of mine was described by another friend of mine as being "obese with pendulant breasts." In writing, no less!
She was partially offended, but really couldn't complain too much because it was a description in her medical record by her cardiologist right before (or after, I can't remember when he wrote it) she had a heart valve replaced. It was an accurate statement that was relevant to her diagnosis and treatment.
I do HIPAA lectures from time to time for healthcare professionals, and under HIPAA, patients have a right to request an amendment to their medical record. I use this anecdote all the time as an example of when health professionals can politely tell patients to fuck off on the amendment request. The patient is more than welcome to put a statement disputing the record, but the record is going to continue to say that she is "obese with pendulant breasts."

Now this is some helpful punctuation. In case I could not figure it out on my own, reading this left no doubt in my mind that I am to respond: "No way! He tried to pick her up in the SI ferry terminal!?!?!?!"
