So for the past week she has been flipping burgers as part of the franchisee training program. She has to work the cash register today. I do not think she is wearing flair though.

ETA: I forgot. The welder drives a pickup. It's totally Lifetime movie of the week.
I worked as a welder's assistant in the oilfields of East Texas.

Did you ever make it by the Tim Hortons in Connecticut? Much better than A&W - would you rather have an egg salad and a timbit or that fatty burger?

I guess maybe this isn't much of a mystery, although, the unattractive women I've known would never make themselves the object of ridicule by talking about how desirable they are either.

You are truly one-of-a-kind.

You make it sound like I am so ugly. "Pretty much every woman I know is better looking than you.." that is unduly harsh.

I get approached a lot. you can attribute it to what you would like and you have the right to think I'm butt.

I'm insecure about my extra weight gain [which I've essentially started losing I'm halfway there] yes. But other than you I don't think I've ever been told I was ugly. so yes, you are a special case as well, mr. chip on your shoulder guy

At Apex Technical School, we don't just teach oxacetylene welding! And you get to keep your tools when you're done. But I can't call you. You have to take the first step.

I don't think ugly people are told they are ugly very often, if at all. I'm just saying.

Rugged. You're sort of the carpenter, or biker, in the Village People.

What do you mean by "approached"? Are you sure they don't think you are a hooker? Or are just interacting with you as another human being? I mean, I don't think I'm all the way down at "ugly" but I don't think I really get approached. Other than the occasional almost obligatory "hey baby"* from the valet parking guys I walk past.

*I don't think that is actually what they say, but you get the idea.

why would they think I'm a hooker? I dress very conservatively.

I mean conversation starting, getting hit on.
