It's a fool-proof dram shop defense, too.

Gloat? I'm in shock. After all the scorn I got this weekend from people who said they could make millions by picking the teams I didn't, I find out this morning that you all suck worse than I do.

Coltrane, next year hand out your card to the drunker people, then you can put the time in as marketing.

Sweet pea, please relax. Get a massage or something. It was a joke. This is not the politics board.

I got there at TWO PM (three hours late) and half the bar couldn't speak. I figured I could easily drink $30 worth of beer in 4 hours, but many people* really got their money's worth.

*and by "people" I mean "males," since the women were outnumbered approximately 150 to 1.

I didn't see any posts mocking your picks on the other board. defensive much? it detracts from your gloating points when it is not true.

I look to finish solidly in the middle of the pack. As I always do in March Madness brackets. Making me wonder why I bother to fill them out.

I note that Mr Man is currently in second. I'm not gloating on his behalf, but I will tell him to come by and gloat if his picks hold up the rest of the way...

See, because the mocking was IRL. I actually know people who do not exist only as internet people. I had no access to the internet this weekend, and didn't see the standings until this morning.

Dawn of the Dead

I didn't see anything as "worthwhile" as lost in translation this weekend, but I did get to DotD, and have had a couple days to think on it.

As a horror movie, it is actually pretty top notch. Maybe not as good as 28 days later (more consideration below), but better than Cabin Fever, which I considered a pretty damn good horror flick. Pretty sincerely scary, generally pretty fast paced, and, amazingly, you actually come to give a damn about some of the characters. And that doesn't go well, of course.

As a remake of a true classic ...

The local radio station critic said it wasn't as gory as The Passion.

I had two freaking martinis. It's not my fault all you West Coasters were drooling on your ties after the second round.

Haven't seen the Passion, but that doesn't surprise me in the least. It may have less cannibalism, too.

Which reminds me, I definitely like the Crazy Horse Too (the "Deuce") a lot better than the Olympic Gardens (the "OG").
