Whether men are freaky and irrational and hypocritical w/r/t sex stuff is not really pertinent to the issue of whether the average wife would divorce over a single trip to a strip club.

TKMPCD, Alex, maybe he doesn't want to be irresponsible with his employer's money. If he truly believes that they charged him three times for an already inflated bill, maybe he is outraged.

Good, good. You are backing away from your assertion that this guy is a soon-to-be-divorced idiot, and are moving to the position that if you were married (which you may be, I'm not sure) and if your husband went to a strip club, you would divorce him.

Now, thinking you wouldn't get slapped for spending down marital assets because GOD FORBID he went to a strip club, that's a little nuts. Just an FYI; don't want to see you get screwed (so to speak) in the divorce.

What? What kind of insecure men do you hang out with? I don't know ANY guy who would care less about his wife/GF going to a male strip club.

Heck, the girls usually come back with some pretty funny stories.

I think it's safe to say that if I went to a strip club and spent so much money that national newspapers were in awe of me, there might be a rise in marital strife in my home.

Why shouldn't it be? I only ask what I'm willing to give. And I'm not talking "average"--more "average high-profile executive's wife whose indiscreet bimbo antics land him in the newspaper, thereby making you and your family the object of ridicule to every single person you have ever known."

Self-respect's gotta kick in somewhere. That, or the satisfaction of taking the house and the Bentley.

Even if that amount of money is pocket change to you?

Yes, but you all are relatively poor. If you spent so much money on anything that newspapers were in awe of you, there'd be marital strife. Among those who can afford it, conspicuous consumption is hot.

Most of the "pool boys" I've seen on TV are into anal. I'm not sure they'd suit you.

And you're disputing that you should have been charged anywhere near that much money?

I'd be pissed off about the money part, but not that he went to a strip club and had a very good time there.

I'm not backing off anything. I think if he's married, and she had any self-respect, she'd be outta there. Others may differ, more power to ya.

Hell, even Jack Welch's wife hit her limit.

Knowing you are into watching gay male porn makes up for a lot of your flaws. Hottie.

Yeah. First, I'm sure Swiss Re is picking up the tab - it's not that aspect that's so big.

It's the national story. What do you tell junior when he comes home from school and says "mommy, did daddy really buy us a stripper? Can I play with it? What's a stripper?"

Upon reflection, the person who should be the most pissed off about all of this is Colin Ferrell. If they're charging him what they charged the Swiss Re guy for the same services, it seems that the strip club owners are taking terrible advantage of him. They've drawn that fact that to the public's attention. That's who should really be pissed off about this whole thing.

He should vote for Bush in retaliation.
