I don't know... that whole bit is so overdone, it's almost cliché at this point.

You know, it was only in the past year that I actually paid attention to the lyrics of "Whole Lotta Love," and I was SHOCKED, I tell you, shocked. How graphic! And it was playing on the radio in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.

Not her. She's got a ponytail and eyeglasses!
(Watched parts of Not Another Teen Movie again last night, sans the hollowed out apple. Not nearly as good as the first time I saw it, but there are still some funny bits.)

Shame, shame, on all of you for giving the government an interest-free loan.
And on me (although a significant portion of my refund was due to social security overpayment). My direct deposit took about 3 weeks, and was about a week later than predicted when my return was accepted. Last year I got it in about a week.
|
I figure it's better to let the government have its money up front because if I ever had to pay, it would be Ruby Ridge/Medina, North Dakota all over again.

How the hell are all you people getting money back?!? I'm putting off doing my taxes until the last moment, because I know we're going to owe, it's just a question of how much. I always file on April 15, so that the government makes ME an interest-free loan, dammit! (A loan to me of my own money, that is...)

Trust me Paigow when I say this on behalf of the whole board, after the second or third time you professed to give up the board and then fell off the wagon and came back again, no one "gets used to" you being gone...you're always just around the corner, no matter what you say.

We're idiots and haven't adjusted our withholdings despite getting money back every year. We know we can't be trusted to use that money wisely if we get it little bits at a time, so we might as well let uncle sam hold it for a while and then it's like Christmas in April when we get it all back.

I am getting money back (allegedly) because of fica/futa overpayment (I switched jobs halfway thru the year).

Paying taxes is for suckers. I just steal someone else's identity every 4 years and undergo extensive plastic surgery. I'm thinking I might go ethnic next time.

Shit, I hope not. 'Cause I haven't! I hope I don't get a nasty surprise when I plant myself in front of Turbo Tax this weekend...
