You asked for a quote and then you offered one up yourself.

I have to say, in the crowd I run with (HA!), it's more "who wants to be the loser who is into a hot 16 year old?"

However, I don't have really a way of interrogating mom to find out what the girl wants/needs/is allowed to receive. It's been awhile since I've been 15, and I don't really know that many 15 year old girls.
Any ideas what to get a 15 year old girl for a major birthday?

I was told something from Coach is what 15 year old girls want. By someone who recently bought a 15 year old girl birthday present. She bought her a small pouchette bag.

iPod, iTunes cards, a piece of real jewelry, OR a gift card, because whatever you buy, she will think that there was a better gift you could have bought.
Or, apparently, you could fix her up with Spanky.

I think you are wrong. Some may say it's just semantics, but I think there is a big difference between "finding someone attractive" and "being attracted to someone". The former is merely a recognition of a person's features ("she has pretty eyes"). The latter suggests that you are drawn to that person ("gazing into your eyes propels me to a place where you, and you alone, rule benevelently over my every emotion").
Finding a 16 year old handsome and wanting to bang said 16 year old are two very different things.

Yes! This is exactly what I meant but didn't say as well.
And, TM, while it is still pretty early here, the sky appears to be blue yet again today.

Pop music says that Spanky is right.
Aprop. . . uh, by the by, Spanky is correct. After all, who could forget these songs?
Into The Night
by: Benny Mardones
She's just sixteen years old
Leave her alone, they say
Separated by fools
Who don't know what love is yet
But I want you to know -
CHORUS:
If I could fly
I'd pick you up
I'd take you into the night
And show you a love
Like you've never seen - ever seen.
It's like having a dream
Where nobody has a heart
It's like having it all
And watching it fall apart
And I would wait till the end of time for you
And do it again, it's true
I can't measure my love
There's nothing to compare it to
But I want you to know -
CHORUS
and
You're Sixteen
( Ringo Starr )
You come on like a dream, peaches and cream
Lips like strawberry wine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine
You're all ribbons and curls, ooh, what a girl
Eyes that sparkle and shine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine
You're my baby, you're my pet
We fell in love on the night we met
You touched my hand, my heart went pop
Ooh, when we kissed I could not stop
You walked out of my dreams and into my arms
Now you're my angel divine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine
[break]
You're my baby, you're my pet
We fell in love on the night we met
You touched my hand, my heart went pop
Ooh, when we kissed I could not stop
You walked out of my dreams, and into my car
Now you're my angel divine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine
You're sixteen, so beautiful, and you're mine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine
All mine, all mine, all mine
All mine, all mine, all mine

I don't think anyone is really having a hard time wrapping themselves around that, Hank. I may be wrong, but it appears that the consensus is that sexual feelings towards those who are viewed as children on a social level is malum in se.

And Winger on the song about a 17 y-o. Somehow in my head the protagonist (persona singing the songs) was, at most, in his early 20s.

I'm not saying you're one of them, but as has been mentioned earlier, there has been plenty of Homer-with-a-donut-style drooling over 16 year old girls around these parts. Some of Coltrane's Silicon Beauties looked barely legal so, for all we know, some of them were 16.

Yeah, and there's also the entire Chuck Berry catalog, Too Young, Puppy Love, and a hundred other songs.
I'm fairly certain tragic death and watching your girl from up in Heaven is also a familiar theme. Does that make romantic suicide a good idea?

Don't forget Gary Puckett.
Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl,
You're much too young, girl
With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
You led me to believe
You're old enough
To give me Love
And now it hurts to know the truth, Oh,
Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know
That it is wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes, Oh,
So hurry home to your mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
Get out of here
Before I have the time
To change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far, Oh,
Young girl

How about Fleshgrind?
- Holy Pedophile
Holy priest, man of god
Filling orifices of young boys
Spewing semen, rectum filled
Raping children of their souls
Defecation covered cock
Slicing through the young boys bowels
Cries of pain, piercing screams
Grunts of pleasure, cum in you!
Holy Paedophile!
Come to the confession booth
Tell me all your sins
Take off all your clothes
God will make it better!
Holy Paedophile!
Deceiving eyes hide under the cloth
To preach the word of god
Sinister thoughts and evil doings
To the boys who believe in god
Line them up, on the altar
Bend them over make them pray
Fuck the anus, suck their cocks
Molest the boys in every way
Holy Paedophile!
Cum to the confession booth
Tell me all your sins
Take off all your clothes
God will make it better!
Holy Paedophile!
