Moreover, what Kerry is calling on Bush to do would be illegal. Kerry is calling on Bush to tell the Swiftboat Vets for Truth to pull their ad. It is against the law for him to coordinate with those 50something groups.
Not only is Kerry a liar, he advocates people breaking the law.

The GOP isn't attacking Kerry. Vietnam vets who served with Kerry are.

I'm not a Philadelphian, but I learned from friends who've lived there* that the proper cheesesteak at Gino's or Pat's is indeed a "steak Whiz." This is the default for natives. When offered a choice, I go for the provolone anyway. My commitment to cultural anthropology is not strong enough to "go native" by consumption of petroleum byproducts.
*Fair warning: they were UPenn students, so they may have been exaggerating in order to emphasize the provincial charm of their neighborhoods.

I prefer the provolone too, but the Whiz is actually pretty good. We have a place here called Philly's Best that flies the beef in and does a reasonable facsimile of a Philly Cheesesteak. After all, man cannot live on sah-sage alone...

I don't even remember which side is for the ban, but the evenhanded tone of his remark was that hey, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, right Democrats?
|
The complaint about Michael Moore's movie was that he said a lot of things that were true and left viewers to infer connections between them that were unstated because they weren't true, or couldn't be supported. There were relatively few complaints that the specific allegations made in the movie were untrue.*
The complaint about the Swift Vets is that they are exploiting the media's efforts at even-handedness by airing lies. So, no -- they are different species, not goose and gander.
*(I know they're out there, and I know he responded, and I haven't and don't want to see the movie so I'm not going to argue about that detail -- my point is about the preponderance of the complaints about Moore.)

Kerry condemned the Moveon ads, which only reminds us all that FOX is not working very hard to maintain that pretense of neutrality.
BTW, I don't recall that anyone found anything inaccurate in the Moveon ads.

To ask U Penn students why real people do, is of course silly.
A cheese steak can have cheese whiz, or provalone or American. The president's order is fine. On the other hand. the article, by mentioning "white bread" and " fried onions" loses any credibility.
JFK? Swiss cheese is not even an option. Maybe he fell back to what he had rehearsed for the Wendy's photo op?

I agree with much if not most and maybe all of what she has to say, but she has to work on her delivery. She comes across as such a nasty, foul bitch. If she would say what she has to say with a more pleasant look on her face, she wouldn't turn so many people off.
I think that is a big part of Rush's widespread (pun intended) appeal (at least pre-drug Rush) - he laughs while ranting. She just has this sour, vile look/tone/demeanor and it is not at all appealing even to someone who agrees with what she has to say.

If you want to get a sub in Boston, get a baked Ham & Swiss. Maybe here, for $4.59, though that wasn't my favorite place. To make one of these, you need a sub shop with a pizza oven, something San Francisco needs more of.

If the line now is that Moore was truthful in that movie, then the gulf of intellectual disparity has become too wide for communication.

This is proof you are insane. When visiting Boston, unless at a Red Sox game, one should only eat seafood.
