However, it is only unwise enough to cost you a couple of grand a year.
Read. It was a lower court judge who resigned (though apparently they call them chief district judges which is weird; but then, NY calls lower courts supreme courts at least according to L&O); the chief justice accepted the resignation.

Excellent idea. Except, e/o wants to save the bandwith for another race discussion between bilmore and TM.

After the hurricane is over there will be no reason for severe weather anti-tips, so you don't have to worry about it going on forever. Plus I think I've covered all possible severe weather complications that would result from a hurricane now.
Texan, please.

I was making a j-o-k-e since your posts were clearly not flirtatious.

Please PLEASE say you are not adopting the TM/bilmore "it was a joke" convention.

Really, now that you've said it I believe you were making a joke; oddly it would have been clearer without the clarification.

Have we Texans absconded with the FB again? Leagl seems to be the only poster standing between us and endless conversations about chili cook-offs and pickup truck size... not to mention always entertaining Houston v. Dallas debates.

You shouldn't use that as an example, because bilmore and I totally did it.

That was you two in the cucumber/melons picture? (a) you've been lying about your race all along and (b) you need a manziere.

And given my clearly expressed views on MFM I'm kind of hurt you didn't invite me.

Houston's steel and glass buildings are much nicer than the steel and glass buildings in Dallas.

The Infamous "Cover Letter"

One imagines that his dream of billing 3000 hours a year, sifting through dumpsters and eulogizing his mother on speaker phone will remain but a dream.

I imagine that all Tulane law students from now on will be getting a lecture about cover letters on the first day of their first year from now on.

Edited to add that the only embellishments, as far as I can tell, are the items in brackets that have kindly tried to hid the law student's identity and the identity of former employers.
One thing that has gone unremarked is his resume entry about his college GPA (slightly over 3.0) as being in the top 49.3% of his class.

No snarky comment necessary about that.

Speaking of cookoffs, if anyone happens to be driving to Austin from Houston this weekend and is on 290, stop at the City Meat Market in Giddings for the best barbeque in the world. It's on the northwest corner of the intersection right before you cross the traintracks heading west. The slight detour will be more than made up for by the barbeque.

Please note: comma goes after bitch.

Correct:

Bitch, please.

Incorrect:

Bitch please.

Not Remotely Correct:

Please, bitch.

There was a TV show called Houston?

I'll try to READ this time ltl. - It's good to see you are back to your usual bitchy self, I missed you and I worry when you are nice.

http://www.law.com/jsp/pa/pubarticle...=1063212043609

Here we have a young man who has been denied admission to the NJ Bar by the Supreme Court. (This would be by the Supreme Court of NJ in an opinion written by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in NJ, ok ltl?)

Quoting:

A three-lawyer committee said, "It was crystal clear . . . that Mr. Sanders believes himself to be absolutely morally justified in breaking the law." The panel said it viewed him as one who "detaches himself from responsibility to obey the law by endeavoring to distinguish the morality of the law from its legality."

...

Sanders, 29, admitted to traveling to Cuba three times through Mexico, Canada and the Bahamas; deceiving U.S. Customs officials about the visits on re-entry to the country; lying to customs agents about trying to smuggle Cuban cigars into the United States and blowing off a query by the U.S. Treasury Department seeking information about his first visit. That last move led to a $10,000 department fine for ignoring the query, a fine Sanders acknowledged he made no effort to pay.

....

But the smuggled cigars proved to be Sanders' undoing. The Committee on Character, the OAE brief and subsequent oral argument focused not so much on the trips and the cigars but on Sanders' lying about them. The committee said he offered no "good or political explanation" for trying to bring them back.

Insert Cigar joke here.

But he was in the top 3% of his class in high school. He was probably in some really neat clubs, too.

Three years ago, I thought Texans were only taking over the District, then I discovered it was the world (or at least the Middle East) and now cyberspace as well. I guess I better stop trying to hide and break out the cowboy boots...
