I loved the bit about Lee Harvey Oswald acting alone. Cracks me up every time.

Hmph, at least you made alternate. Lump all Yankees into a single category once and are forever shunned from trivia games.
I think I'll fling myself into a gorge.

I am assembling my trivia game (Trivial Pursuit, Jeopardy, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, etc) master team from fb participants and here is who I have so far --
Entertainment - me (well, my team has to have me on it after all); [alternate - str8]
Literature - Ty (named after a literary character, after all); [alternate - Sidd Finch]
History - taxwonk (look to the old guy); [alternate - bilmore (ditto)]
Etiquette - Atticus (edged BRC on religion trivia, which I folded into this category for a reason known only to me); [alternate - BRC]
Sports - TM (talks a good game); [alternate - Coltrane]
Animals - flinty (of course); [alternate - robust puppy]
Music - evenodds (edged out PLF by discussing bands I have actually heard of); [alternate - PLF]
Science - Hank (hey, he's an IP nerd); [alternate - um, does anyone else know anything about science?]
Geography - fringey (has never confused NYC with upstate or Houston with Dallas); [alternate - paigow (ringer for all Connecticut questions)]
General (includes all other questions) - Shape Shifter (duh)
|
Ahem...
What about the all-important grammar category?!?! And don't tell me Atticus would edge me out -- he's still in remedial hyphens for pete's sake!

I was thinking of you for science, but then realized that it would be more for science fiction (I guess a sub-category of literature?). Actually, you are in for my newly formed Arts category. And, of course, dtb is in (no alternate needed) for the Timmy category. Congrats.
I will note that I gave Atticus nowhere near this hard a time for being left out of the comics grouping (though, if you couldn't tell, it did smart a little).

HA!! If there were a zinger category, RP would always be a solid choice. I hadn't scrolled before I posted (I know, you are all SHOCKED!), but this was a beaut!

Katie Johnson News
For ncs:
Katie has been named one of Boca Raton's most eligible bachelorettes.
http://www.bocaratonnews.com/index....0NEWS&prid=7065
I'm not sure how much faith I'd put in the list, because the article also says that Katie won her lawsuit against Tucker Max. The Countess looks like a good pick, though.

I'll join you. We can do it a la Thelma and Louise (and we get to have sex with Brad Pitt and Michael Madsen beforehand).
edited to note: what about the all-important 'intimate knowledge of hockey players' category ncs? What about that!! And trivial pursuit was invented by Canadians (whom I used to represent). I bet no one but str8 and Hank the wannabe Canadian knew that little bit of all-important trivia.

Speaking of trivial
Lakers not ruling out Rodman. Who I hate. Was a cheap-shot artist. And a whiner. And is just down right ugly.
Lakers must be desperate
The Times reported the release also said Rodman's agent, Darren Prince, believed "Rodman hopes to reunite with his former coach and current Lakers head coach Phil Jackson by the (All-Star break) this season."
Jackson told the Los Angeles Times he would not necessarily rule out signing Rodman, a sentiment called "kind" by another member of the organization.

My new trivia team
I pick everyone. But now I'm not sure who we will play against.
Revised trivia team: I pick everyone except for Slave and Less. We will play against Slave and Less.

Confidential to fringey: Honey, you know I have to pay attention to the other kids too! You were already ON the team -- I said she was a solid choice; not the solid choice! There, there...
