you shouldn't pick such generic quotes- the jane one was better.

spoiler-

why don't they just shoot Hearst? sure he has lots of guards, but once he's dead there'd be a power struggle to take over his estate and the top guys wouldn't care about revenge.

It's amazing the things you can find to do with duct tape.

Agreed. It's lame and weak the first time, why trot it out for round II?

I pick them because they strike my fancy, not to impress others.

Spoiler:I think that there are those, like Al, who would like to see that done, but Bullock wouldn't allow it. Also, I don't think that it would be as easy as you think. I am pretty sure it would start a war. So sure, in fact, that I'm willing to bet it begins on Sunday, even without Hearst getting shot.

I meant his sig line- here wonk use this.

"Shall I as Mayor initiate proceedings? -however titular and insubstantial and merely honorific the position. Which argues against my doing so."

it's also possible that i have suffered a blunt trauma to the head and am simply not remembering the "but i'll change him" fantasies of misspent youth

i would go as far as saying that when couples grow apart, it is because the woman has changed, and the man hasn't (as long as we're speaking in absolutes, here)
I think both people change. I know I have, and so has she. The relationship either has the elasticity to hold together during that evolution or it doesn't. I could kill her half the time, but there's no use trying to change her in any way other than how she naturally evolves as a person (which process is driven partly by me, so I guess you could say spouses do change each other).

I sometimes want the reckless crazy party girl I knew back. I used to think I'd go gently toward my 40s, but that's not in the cards. I like it. I mean, the kid's great, the house is nice, the money's fine... but there's something there driving my head in a very different direction at all times... a little self destructive bug I caught somewhere along the line. I think I need to do what Less is doing at some point. She'll let me, just so long as she has a palace and her friends around. maybe thats why I love her - we observe the 'personal space' thing. I couldn't take a needy person, and v/v.

This is not to say that my relationship is not going well. This weekend my boyfriend got his ass out of bed on a Saturday morning and watched me box for a few hours, and for the rest of the weekend went out of his way to make me happy. I don't know if there is a connection.
My best man described his wedding as buying a Lexus and driving it into a wall.

Getting hitched because "that's what you do" is insane. I barely recall mine. Haze of weed, vodka and beer, upstairs. I missed half the reception (which is fine, since I can't dance for shit).

I wish I could just tell people "we live together and fuck."

For your tote bag, I'd go with Hefty Cinch-Sak.
I wonder what people do with all those three button suits now?

I never owned one. Make you look like a fucking box.

It's that people are nuts, not women or men.

Over the weekend, a friend (Single Woman) relayed a long story to me. It seems she has recently been spending a lot of time with a couple she knows. The couple has been married for a few years and have a young child. Wife started confiding some unhappiness to SW and jokingly offering Husband to SW (who recently broke up with a BF). While out celebrating Husband's birthday with a small group, Husband decides to flirt outrageously with SW, including whispering "I love you" in her ear while his wife looked on from the other side of the table at the club. SW was uncomfortable despite her admitted attraction to Husband. H and W spent all weekend trying to get SW to come hang out at their house and watch a movie with them.

I joked with SW that they want a menage a trois although she swears they aren't the type. Seriously, what motivates these people?
Uh, sseeing your wife go at it with another chick?

You want me to explain why if your pen falls out of your fingers, it will land on the floor?
