Because my favorite weekend is coming up, and I fully expect a Rocky Horror marathon, I bring a little [very little] funny for Friday.
Hopefully there will also be a Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy marathon on AMC. Man, there's nothing like old monster flicks. Hell with you people and your fancy stories and plot lines. I need monsters in my movies!

Dany should be back on the ice this season according to latest reports. The surgery went well and he is healing physically and emotionally. The Snyder family has and will continue to play a big part in that. No DUI and no "innocent" victim -- they may not even try him for Snyder's death.
I loved the Thrashers before Dany, I love them now and will love them when he comes back. Nope, the joy meter remains high. The Thrashers are getting better each year.

You know, I don't like her much either -- and I won't even give her the "English accent" bit. Renee Zellwegger (or however the F you spell that)'s English accent was so much better than Gwynneth's on her best day. I am acutely aware of this only because I happened to catch part of "Possession" the other day while flipping through the channels, and thought that her accent was so bad so as to be affirmatively distracting.
Hell, I do a better English accent when reading the Harry Potter books aloud to my son! So where's MY movie deal?!?! HUH?!?!
She sucks. |

A Minor Dilemma
Mrs. Wonk and I have been invited, along with the rest of our group and their guests, to enjoy dinner, an evening at the theater, and the night in a hotel downtown, as a reward for a particularly hairy project we completed last year.
Mrs. Wonk has a thing about leaving the monsters overnight and is making it pretty clear that she won't go, or if she does it will be under duress and my life will be Hell for the foreseeable future.
On the other hand, I don't want to appear the aloof, antisocial wage slave. Thus, I feel some pressure to go, with or without my (ahem) "beloved" wife.
Thoughts, advice, ridicule and scorn?
