I'm assuming these two statements are connected somehow.

I don't care what the hell the watch is really so long as it's not one of those five-hundred pound gold or silver clunkers you can barely lift your wrist under. They invariably look idiotic beside the weak manicured hands of some spoiled white-shoe lawyer.

Come to think of it, they're Hummers.

Jesus, you're a one trick pony. Do you want to talk more about poor widdle TM? Just get it out of your system. It's obviously something eating you up inside. Have you considered talking to your therapist about it? Or is therapy just the man's way of keeping you down?
You're so stupid you can't tell when you're being needled. But I figured that, which is why I do it. Mad yet?

Hey, when you hit 28,000 feet, the snow is whipping past your face, and your sherpa has taken a powder with your gear, the last thing in the world you need is to miss that next appointment.

And there's one choice of metal for men: stainless steel.
Absolutely. Some cat in court yesterday was giving me the time with his two tone Concord in the usual sort of "I'm important... you should be intimidated" sort of way. I just smiled. It said everything I needed to know about him. His argument was a disaster. He said too much.

Men who need the two tone want to be more than they are but just can't quite get there. Either buy the all gold or buy the silver/steel. Mixing just advertises you're a half-stepper.

No, but I checked out his package at the urinals.

That book blew, but the movie was amusing.

Cheers,

Rolex = Tiffany = Armani (you said so) = overpriced bourgeois fodder.

Other companies do it better. The above companies have fallen into the whole Big 3 in the 1970s attitude: we're so fucking great that no one will ever catch up to us. Our name lifts us up by our own bootstraps.

And then, all of sudden, it's second-rate shit.

Sold. Hope you like cats....and a rec room chock full of sports memorabilia (this, people, is my one true weakness. I cannot stop buying sports-related/autographed stuff).

In fairness, in honour of our nuptials and the rings she got marking them, I successfully lobbied for the clearance to buy a tricked out racing bike. Lots of Ti. 16 pounds. Sweet ride. Not as much cashish as the rings but it cost more than the 10 year old Saab that I owned at that time was worth.

But I had to lobby for it, its not like it was an accepted quid pro quo-that's what I'm talking about.

Penske

ps: I also bargained for the infamous Armani dinner jacket* as quid pro against the wedding dress, with the cost coming out of the wedding budget, which was not my bank.

*Paigs, any pathetic Yahoo oldtimer reference award for this?

Dude, the classic simple Rolex day date is like Coca Cola. You can't go wrong.

I don't even know what Tiffany's sells. I've only been in one maybe three times.
