The store had Select Comfort and Temper-Pedic mattresses for comparison and Intelli-bed was significantly more comfortable for me. The Temper-Pedic isn't good if you toss and turn as I do because every time you move you have to wait for the foam to conform to you.

Honestly Fugee, Because I have turned into a tosser and turner in recent years (i think it's the job stress) when I tossed and turned while awake in it, I thought the same thing you did and that's why I told the BUnnyman he had shit for brains when he bought it (he LOVES it when I say things like that, BTW) but then when I actually slept in it the first time, I found that I move around less, and the times I move, seem less disturbing to my sleep than in normal beds...i don't notice the "slow bounce back" at all when I'm sleeping. Just a thought. If y'all wanna come over and test it out, he's out of town until Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

FUUUUUUUCK all of you who didn't vote for Crazy Eyes. I spent an hour voting for her. All you asses who voted for anybody else except for George suck suck suck. Especially you paigow. I warned you that Crazy Eye's lines were wide open, and you still didn't vote for her.
I'm so sad that my Crazy Eyes is gone. She was too good for stinky AI anyway.

I'm not watching the show anymore. It's clear America is just fucking with itself. 30 million people saying themselves "I'm going to vote for the red-headed dork, for the irony*."
I'm just taking the view that this is spotting Jennifer six weeks to get her record out. No way she doesn't get a contract. If her new label is clever, they'll hurry her into the studio and release a single within a couple of weeks of the final.
* I recognize this would not actually be ironic, but that doesn't change the fact that the dumbasses voting for John wouldn't think it was ironic. Hi flower!

No. Fuck you for changing your avatar. Your avatar-changing is much like the SI jinx. So, it's your fault, you bitch. I suggest you post a picture of Stan Laurel now, if you really want to set things right.
That was a complete travesty. Based on performances alone on Tuesday, even George shouldn't have been safe. This is the problem when they request that people vote for their favorites, which does not translate into voting for the best singers.
When it got down to the lowest two vote-getters, America coudn't even get that right. Certainly Fantasia yeah, yeah, yeah deserved to go before Crazy-Eyes. She's been sleepwalking through the competition for weeks. No one is denying that John "The Human Tranquilizer" Stevens should have gone this week.
The "competition" has just gotten a lot less interesting. Too bad.

advice on diamond stud earings

(i) Online help: http://www.dirtcheapdiamonds.com/ has a good online tutorial (see the "education" link). They also sell (and say they have not conflict diamonds), but you may not be comfortable with doing it online. Or you may. However, their price lists reflect good "not getting fucked in the ass" diamond prices.
(ii) Earrings are not an engagement ring. There is no "two months salary" bullshit here. There just isn't the same sentimental puffery about "perfection." In this case I'd say color matters a hell of a lot more than clarity. I'd look for GH color in the SI range of clarity, but generally just but be sure they face up nice and white and the SI-level flaws aren't carbon. In fact, for earrings I'd say you could even consider something with an I clarity, depending on how the stone itself actually looks - you can find Is that have only white inclusions that aren't directly under the table that look almost completely clean unless you have them out of a setting and are looking at them from all angles.
(iii) Size depends on your wife's innate flashiness and the size of her face. Neither stud should be larger than the central diamond in her engagement ring. In any event, anything over 2 carats total (one per ear) can safely be dismissed as "excessive." Generally, 1 ct. total (.5 per ear) is a nice "conservative but not too dinky" size, I'd take that as my default and work from there. Note that if you made $400K last year off Fenwick's back, and your wife knows it, you should probably take that into account.
(iv) Try not to get screwed. This means not only avoiding buying at Tiffany's, but probably most bricks & mortar jewelry stores. Remember - This is not an investment, you are buying a pretty bauble that's gonna drop in value about as fast as your car. Keep it in perspective, and don't let the jewelry sellers' spin distract you.
(v) Going to 47th street or the local wholesaler haunt is a way to not get screwed, but only if you sort of know what you are doing. Hitting the bricks & mortar jewelry stores is good for building up that experience - they tend to do a good job on "education" if they think they might sell you, and that is worthwhile.
(vi) Unless you want to do a lot of leg work (or are an irrationally obsessive bargain hunter like me), do not buy the diamonds loose and try to match them and get them set yourself. Don't even think about it. The Mr. and I did this, and it saved us a bundle but was a big pain in the ass and took months.
(vii) Oh, and get screwbacks. If the earrings you want don't have screwbacks, get them reset with screwbacks. If you don't, 6 months from now your wife will have lost one and you'll be thinking "goddamn it, why didn't I get screwbacks!!!"

I am an idiot about this stuff, and know nothing about diamonds. Any advice on the grading process or whatever they call it would be especially appreciated. Opinions about what is an appropriate size and estimates of likely cost would be welcome.

woman have set ideas about ear ring size. I've bought mid-size, only to be told she only really likes tiny (fuck you in advance to whomever takes the softball).
you might want to look at what earings she actually wears to get a sense of preferred size and gaudiness level.
then follow brc's advice.

I was out last night and didn't get home until after the phone lines were closed so I couldn't get in my usual pile of votes for the 3 Divas. There is something seriously wrong with the process when the 3 best singers in the competition were the bottom 3 vote getters.
I love John Stevens and his different style but he is at least 3 years of maturing voice, experience, and developing stage presence away from being the equal of any of LaToya, Fantasia or Jennifer. Do the poor kid a favor and stop voting for him. He looked devastated that someone who is so obviously a better singer than he is was voted out before him. It is no favor to him to keep him in when he knows that he should have gone.
|
1) after your devastating comments to me on a previous occasion, I will now vote for hiim twice as hard.
2) He wasnt devastated. He was stunned. believe me, I had the same look on my face. i am sure you did to. i saved the fucking tape of the show so I could check out all the looks of surprise, most enjoyably on fantasia. thank you America for givng that bitch an ego check.
3) Latoya sucks. Vanilla black. how can someone who sings so well be so unentertainging?
4) I will miss the crackbaby but am glad we are minus a female and not a male. I just wish is twas diana.
5) barely said that her source for the east coast votes put Jasmne at the top of the voting. ALl I have to say is every jewish man in nyc must be voting for her. yids please. stop.
6) I am so pleased that fantasia was thisclose to being gone. lets see if her assholeocity escalates or if she gets more appreciative.

Klaus Kinski
http://www.salon.com/ent/feature/200...ski/index.html
[Salon article about Klaus Kinski. Pretty entertaining, but he was a pretty entertaining guy. I still remember, in an article lamenting the sad, sad state of my college library, the iconic annecdote given was that, in a year in which the library made no purchases of european literary criticism at all, it acquired no fewer than 4 copies of Klaus Kinski's autobiography, all of which had been stolen within 6 months.]
[Spree: the accompanying photo includes a breast (pretty nice one), but it is in black and white and so, combined with the Salon URL, is unlikely to trigger any firm porno alarms.]
