I've seen it, but for some reason I thought somebody started saying it on the Board regularly and it pissed off TM. But I can't keep anything straight in my head anymore. When I recognize people on the street I don't know if I know them from law school or TV or previous jobs or what.

but I am guessing it was on at the same time as BB4. ALl I can say is that Manolo Blahnik's stock just went up, a lot. That both of these gals are even bigger clanging assholes than I had thought, and I am glad the jury didnt congratulate them. and that Jun's Not Boyfriend appears to be the total stereotype. The show just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I may hav to go out for it next season to ensure it is good. Maybe Thurgreed would like to try out with me, and we can pretend we dont know each other and form a secret alliance, but pretend we hate eachother. if it would be pretending. . .
Talk about FEEL BAD television . . . the last 20 minutes of that show was a total train-wreck. Between Alison's (ex, presumably) boyfriend not showing up, and the jury slamming them all 8 ways to Sunday, I could barely watch. Congrats to Jun; I'm surprised that among this group, the loathing for Alison trumped the "respect for how smart and good she was" stuff. When Jack voted for Jun, damn. Only Nathan prevented it from being unanimous, and I'm betting he said something like "I'll be damned before I ever vote for Charlie to win $500,000."

Worst ending, ever, except for the time that Chris and Alex won Amazing Race 2. I hate those guys.

Was someone talking about Nick Cage the other day?

Sept. 25 — Does Nicolas Cage have the hots for Nicole Kidman? The red-blooded actor has been linked to a string of babes since he split from Lisa Marie Presley, and now gossips are saying that he has his sights set on the Aussie star. ONLY A few months ago, Cage was reportedly trying to hook up with Angelina Jolie (ewwwww), but now, the buzz is that he was trying to meet Kidman at the Toronto Film Festival.
In fact, according to one report, he asked festival organizers to book him in a hotel room near hers. Sadly, their schedules didn’t permit a rendezvous.
Cage’s rep dismisses the talk, saying that they weren’t even in Toronto at the same time. “Guess he didn’t know that when his room was being booked,” chuckled a source.

Any bridge club will have programs for newbies; I hear that EZ-bridge is an especially good teaching tool. Just do a search for bridge clubs in the boston area; it's really good fun once you get the feel for it.

Teaching friends to play bridge is a daunting task. I'd pretty much give them four or five books about bidding and say "come back when you've read these." I learned in high school by reading some of my dad's bridge bidding books.

Oh, and my whistles go Woooo Wooooo.

Can someone remind me what this means?

Flipping through the channels last night I came across Risky Business. At that point I realized that I have never seen this movie. Should I rent it and watch it or just let it slide? Factor in that I hate Tom Cruise.

This magazine is unreadable. And I love reading about sports.

Actually, Sport's Illustrated used to be good, but sucks now. What happened?
SI is hit or miss; the short stuff tends to be good; the longer features not so much. But sometimes they're great, like the piece on Uday Hussein. That guy's a first class asshole. Steve Rushin and Rick Reilly are unreadable. But their photos are worth it alone.

ESPN the Magazine had a great article last month about the Cover 2 defense. I like reading the more technical aspects of tactics employed during the game.

AK, rent it. It's a good movie to see Tom Cruise before he became the controlling Scientology schmuck that he is today.

He may, but I hear she's coming Lenny Kravitz' way.

there have only been 2 of the longer articles that I have actually managed to finish, and both were excellent. The one on UDAY was really good. But the one on Rudy Tomjanovich and Devard Darling's twin brother's death at Fla were both very compelling.
The rest of them - meh.

Let's see...teen hosts brothel for underendowed loser friends who can't get laid without paying for it, then has hot sex with attractive 'older woman' hooker in a really gross, filth-ridden subway car.

I can't think of anything less appealing.

Definitely. It's from the time when he was just a cute kid and wasn't the flaming arrogant pinhead he is today. Also, Rebecca DeMornay before puffiness and implants.
Watch it with the right attitude - there's absolutely nothing serious in the movie - but worth $4.
And it's better if you've been drinking.
Of course, that can be said about any movie. Except Leaving Las Vegas.
