That's because we have morals. DEMS are vermin who should be deported.

Especially with all the early absentee early voting.

I'm having trouble here. One moment you're offering carnal relations, the next you're deporting me. Do you want to meet in Canada?

That's on the other board. In any event, it was a trap. By accepting, you proved your sinfulness. REPENT and be SAVED!

Um, as I said, he is a rich and powerful man so to the extent he wants any female, or any man less rich and less powerful, to do something they are required to acquiesce and like it. God you're slow.

You know, but for this you are very persuasive and I could see being converted to your ways. I just don't want to have to do the sorts of things Ahnuld might suggest.

This woman is clearly a self-hating user of sex toys.

Kerry Accuses Dean of Liking the Yankees
By KEN MAGUIRE, Associated Press Writer
BOSTON - Massachusetts Senator John Kerry (news - web sites) is again challenging presidential rival Howard Dean (news - web sites)'s allegiance to Red Sox Nation.
With Boston preparing to face archrival New York in the American League Championship Series, Kerry said Tuesday that if New York beats Boston in the best-of-seven series that begins Wednesday, he'll send New England clam chowder to Dean's campaign. He wants Manhattan chowder from Dean if Boston wins.

Barbie on Crack
http://www.cnn.com/2003/EDUCATION/10....ap/index.html
If you thought Barbie was degrading to women, you ain't seen nothin' yet. New muslim barbie offers parents the opportunity to indoctrinate little girls to believe that they should cover their heads and be subservient to their men and their mullahs. I couldn't think of anything stupider. I am sure it will be a big hit in Riyadh.

My point is that every story can be charged with being a plant. It is how the news is done.
Just as our courts are two folks trying to twist the strands of truth to fit their patterns, the newspapers must twist the strands fed to them by various sources, mostly partisan, to fit a story that sells.
You must work very hard to find truth.
|
I never said anything about a plant. If it was a plant, then I agree with you and Ty that they should not have sat on the story. According to the times, no one came to them with the story, they sought it out, which to me means it was more likely that they had an exclusive without competition.

Once they ask questions, the people whom they ask questions of begin the spin, which may be easier to handle by giving the story to a rival newspaper.
Frankly, I believe it was the Davis' folks job to go out and get this story run earlier. Who didn't think there was a story here given who Arnold is and the kinds of things he's talked about in the press (e.g., group sex). If the Dem operatives had done their job, the electorate would have been fully informed by election day and able to count or discount the information based on a full debate.

And the result would have been the same. My view of the recall is that Davis would have been blown out in the election last year if the GOP would have ran a more palatable candidate (e.g., Riordin). He is, perhaps, the most detested politician in the history of the State, and remember, he only garnered about 44% of the vote last year. So most of the electorate held their noses and voted him in because a pro-life Republican with little charisma simply cannot win here.
Flash forward a year later and the electorate gets a second bite at the apple, this time with a pro-choice, larger than life candidate. And what do you know, it's a landslide.
I think the story ends here. I don't see this as a mandate in CA or the country against the DEMS or for the GOP. It is simply a mandate against an unpopular governor.
[edited to change pro-life to pro-choice]

I'll have to obsessively keep watching, though, because I'm curious as to whether Arnold can accomplish anything given the makeup of the other branches.
