Concur. Yet this still doesn't explain my preference for the pretzel-shaped ones with the sugar on them.

In the blue circular tin? Do they still make those dreadful things? The only thing worse is Perugina chocolates.

A collision of fashion and technology

Cross-posted from tech., for those of you who might be helpful but don't check the other boards:

Do any of the newer, higher-end electric razors come anywhere close to a blade for shave quality? I've only used cheaper electrics, and in the farily distant past. No comparison to a blade shave. But my Mach III replacement cartridges are expensive enough, and shaving in general is annoying enough, that I might be willing to give a more modern and expensive electric a try. Any thoughts?

(note that this is not an invitation to argue "with the grain" versus "against the grain;" if, however, the discussion eventually turns to Brazillians, I would have no objection).

He is a terrible bore who jumped the shark back on the Yahoo boards. I pray that leagl bans him soon.

I'm no sock buster, but it is clear that ine is either a Penske sock (really) or a spoof of a Penske sock. So, in other words, it was a joke. See Penske always posts about how he hates the Flower. Then a sock comes along with Penske-esque delivery and is spouting about hating the Flower. Funny, huh? Or not, but that seems to be the goal.

Or did you get that?

The whole socking world perplexes me. But I am too lazy to be a participant, so maybe I just don't get it.

I think all the other posters on this board would mostly agree that I am mainly correct when I say that Leagl would never use that re: line under any circumstances.

Yes, and then left on a table somewhere. You pass them by repeatedly without giving them a second thought because they're just drab little Danish Butter Cookies - no icing, no chocolate chips - but if you grab one, you may as well grab a handful.

Anybody want to know what I'm having for lunch today?

Your firm sounds very classy. Sprung for the two dollar box of cookies with a sell by date of Feb. 1, 1981. And I was bitching about the hershey quality chocolate that someone picked up by the bagful for ninety nine cents.

Mr Man has the braun one that you dip in the cleaner solution. I don't think he thinks it shaves as close as a blade, but it shaves fairly close. Apparently you have to shave with it for a period of time (5 days? a week? something like that) before your chin hairs get used to it and you get the optimum shave. Maybe that is true for all electrics.

Spoof. I'm guessing its a bit of shameless meta-referential narcissism by PLF(after all who is more narcisstic than the pretty little flower that narcissus became).

If so, its pathetic that he has fallen so low that he is has to use self-flaming socks to garner attention because his wit no longer cuts it. All vitriol and loathing aside, I used to like his work.

And by the by, no offence, but I no longer heart you, which doesn't mean that we can't have lunch when I come to Texas, only that you have to pay for your own meal and I will be treating ltl/fb.

There it is then.

I thought this happened at all firms (and all workplaces, for that matter). Someone gets a Christmas present of baked goods or otherwise ends up with baked goods/candy that they didn't want. That person leaves said items in a common area for others to take. Others try to avoid, but eventually break down and eat one when walking by. Entire box/tin is gone within the afternoon.

What does that have to do with classy?
