No, it tells you without upgrading.

I don't think the regular LinkedIn version gives as much info as the upgraded ones, but I do get a notification when people look at my profile. (Maybe not every time? I dunno - who can keep up?)
Icky, if you want to look at a LinkedIn profile without someone knowing that you are looking at their profile, there's an option that allows you to do so on an anonymous or semi-anonymous ("law practice professional in Greater Podunkville") basis. Check in your settings.
I use it for my semi-annual bourbon-influenced exercise of taking longing glances at profile photos of the Inappropriate Crush Girl and sometimes the Punk Rock Girl.

So I saw the Stones Wednesday night for the first time in about 26 years. It was pretty fun. I guess in a very different way than, say, Mos Def was fun, but still a good time. Anyway, it got me thinking about the Sebastian horns in rock thing. This has probably been discussed, but are not the Stones a conclusive and irrebuttable counter-argument to Sebastian's proposition? Rocks Off. Bitch. All Down the Line. I mean, srsly.

Re: No Faith in the Moral Standards of the Players as a Group
ITEM:
"Steve Irwin: Daughter of Late Crocodile Hunter Posts Selfie on Instagram With Caption About Self-Love"
I misunderstood what "self-love" meant
"To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don't need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself," Bindi Irwin wrote in the caption. Her father died in 2006 in a snorkeling accident."

No.
But to (perhaps) make you feel better, I'll reiterate that her nickname is not based upon her actually being in a punk band (or her even being "punk"). Instead, she earned her nickname when we were teenagers. A friend of mine, after meeting and talking with her, said something to me like "who's the punk rock girl, man?" (She was probably telling him that playing Asia* at his party showed her that he was an idiot.)
"New Wave Girl" is probably more accurate, but that was not what he said, so there you go.
*Always called "the supergroup Asia!" in tones of breathless excitement on Podunkville's own Rock 97.

And they should be so regarded, what with songs about small town girls in lonely worlds.

No, Asia was "Only Time Will Tell." Your post references "Don't Stop Believin" (small town girls, midnight trains, city boy born and raised in south Detroit, etc.), which was by Journey.
Oddly enough, I was thinking about posting that the party host wore a Journey concert t-shirt to school on a regular basis until they released "Frontiers" - he said it was too full of (and I quote) "pussy-ass shit."

Note that someone with decent HTML skills and patience CAN figure out who viewed their FB profile.
