Now, I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a hockey follower, but it's hard to avoid advertising for the movie Miracle these days. I'm a little worried about them Disneyfying the story but aside from that, I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

Is anyone else looking forward to seeing this and has anyone heard any buzz about whether this is going to be good or a waste of time?

I personally don't care a whit about some fictionalized back-story of the hockey team. I'd rather spend the 2 hours+ watching a re-run of either the US-USSR or US-Finland games. You already know the payoff in the movie. What's the point?

No insight. Or, for that matter, on the shorts over sweats phenomenon, although that was once explained to me as a nutsack-support method. Didn't see how having the shorts outside advanced that goal over putting them inside.

Maybe they like the sensation of having the nutsack (what an ick word, but too sleepy to rephrase) surrounded by the sweatpant material that is bunched up by the shorts. strokes folks horses courses.

ncs would probably swoon for a guy in the shorts over sweats PLUS short sleeve over long sleeve.

Manpleaser please. shouldn't you be offering a variety of types of bites (gentle nip, entire jaw with tongue, entire jaw without tongue, simultaneous biting by you and your bestest girlfriend, etc.) rather than criticizing?

The few times I've caught the US-USSR game on TV it's brought back all the chills and thrills associated with being there. I certainly don't want to mar the memories with all the "Up Close and Personal" hype.

Yeah. Remember when the olympics on tv meant sports, rather than barbara walters-style interviews with figure sk8ers and curlers who rose to stardom from the depths of the Vancouver 'hood?
