Yes, but is it sunny?

Albuquerque has a few things going for it: I have several really good friends there. I really like Lottaburgers (especially with the green chile sauce). It has a much higher chance of actually having a job for me than the rest of the state. It's 20 minutes from better skiing than one can get almost anywhere on the East Coast, and two hours from Taos/Red River/Angel Fire. It has service by Southwest Airlines. If you get in the right neighborhood (i.e. where all the people who work at Sandia live), the houses are nice, if suburban, and your neighbors' kids will be really smart. OTOH, Albuquerque doesn't really have the tourest attrations the rest of northern NM has, and really isn't a place with great hotels or nice restaurants (although the places I've eaten there have been very good, in a local kind of way). Albuquerque may be one of thoses place that reverses the aphorism: a nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there.

Pueblo has... well, um... Pueblo has the US Goverment Printing Office.

There's a pawn-shop guy in Philadelphia selling a watch that would suit you should you acquire a villa in Gstaad -- don't pay more than $60 (man's gotta make a profit!)

What is all of this talking about "socks"? The only socks I know are those singular nylon snuggletubes that wrangle my waggling man-protrusion while at the same time safe-keeping its delicate sensitivities from the jagged unmaintained fingernails of your enamoured American slutress women.

You are probably like the typical man living in the United States of Unsophisticates who still wears socks on his unkempt feet, unlike the rest of the fashionable cultures of the world. As a tip from one who is much more palatable to the intelligent princess sexual ladies of other continents, let me tell you that the feet of a real man are clad in nothing but the soft grasp of sensually fitted loafers. Socks say to the world around you "Hey Everybody. I am of crass lineage and very ashamed of my peasant feet so I will swathe them in fabric like a little girl of China, ashamed of the very footsteps I leave behind." No. If you are ever to be a man like me, your talk of socks will not extend below or above the great fleshtation pendulating between my legs.

What has ever made me so confident, you ask? I am a humble man, one of non-arrogant self-perspective glancing, but in my culture, one that has many more years of practice in being civilized than your "American" "culture", we learned that if you are born as handsome as myself, that not to use such a gift from the gods of aesthete-like object would be a crime against all the women of the great universe.

So you see, Mr. Atticus, it is not my "ego" that drives me, it is the divine momentum of my glorious visage that makes me not stop.

But looks, my friend, are not everything. A moderately skilled man of romance eats sweet nipples from the baskets of the bazaar, purchasing fleeting experience by fleeting experience. In contrasting, a true man of romance feasts on lusciously ripened breasts plucked from the trees of his own orchard. Learning to not just take a woman as an object, but to cultivate her beautiness, sexiness and smartiness over time takes precedence over all: tell her your lovely thoughts of her delicates and privates and let her know that she is smarter and more sophisticated than many, and she will be yours beyond one night. Even if you do not mean this, she will not be able to tell.

So here I am, in my handsomeness. I have been in town for a few days and am looking for company, so if you know any luscious American ladies with the palate delicate enough to handle the smoothness of my tongue and intellect, please do advise them that I will be at the back booth of the Outback Steakhouse on 23rd Street between Broadway and 6th tonight at 8. (Please also let them know that I have two "coupons" for buy-one-get-one-free Aussie Shake-A-Roo Cocktailz (tm) - but they are only good before 10 p.m.).

In case they for some reason are not familiar with me by reputation or are unable to discern a man of true distinction, they may use this recent photo - LOOK AT ME!:

This sucks.
Ish.

Yes, that truly does suck.

Excellent point, DS. You're saying less than she is.

For some reason, I have an overwhelming compulsion to sign this post off with "Whatever." I'm pretty sure I know why. So, whatever.

On the PB, we've distilled this down to "Words have meaning" to save Hank and Bilmore's secretaries the keystrokes (they live in states that think worker's comp is merely a wealth redistributive entitlement). We're working on a smiley to communicate the same idea, but it's in beta.

Is this a serious post?

That post was funnier than anything posted here in months. Not only that, that sock was requested. And it actually came through with something funny. How often does that happen?

Are you mad because you have that outfit or something?

The FB has too much influence

Yesterday, a cashier told me she thought my purse was "classy" and it was all I could do not to cringe visibly, but make no mistake, I was cringing on the inside!

Now this was a perfectly lovely woman trying to pay me a compliment, and I reacted wrongly (on the inside, anyway.)

So, STOP IT PEOPLE!

(I know, I am at least partly to blame for the "classy" farce.)
