Ah yes, what a surprise. Invoking The Man in Black. Did some of your faux-hipster friends tell you that he is really trendy with the Williamsburg Crowd these days? "He's, like, really dark and stuff!"

If you are what counts for cutting edge around here, we are going to have a hard time getting through warm butter, much less slicing up the limes for your Caipirinha. I weep for the board.

Should Have Known Better

Arriving at a hunting camp just before dark, Gonzales County Game Warden Jason Davis and Bastrop County Game Warden Roger Steward found it empty. Davis noticed an ice chest with blood on it and found a quartered deer carcass inside. Steward located a buck's head and a hide in a shed behind the deer camp.

The wardens waited until three hunters arrived and asked if they had any luck. The hunters replied, "No," then Davis asked to see their hunting licenses and noticed no tags were missing. When asked about the deer in the ice chest, one of the hunters told the wardens that his cousin had killed the deer and left to go back to Houston.

After questioning another hunter, Davis found out there were actually two deer in two separate ice chests, one a doe without MLD permits. Steward walked behind the camp in search of the doe head and instead found a fourth hunter hiding in the grass. He and the hunter returned to the camp, where the hunter admitted shooting the doe with a .22-caliber rifle. Another hunter admitted to shooting the untagged buck. One hunter was a probation officer who cooperated and told the truth. The hunter hiding in the grass was a chaplain's assistant in the military.

As reported in the Lone Star Outdoor News

I don't doubt it. Is there ever a time when you're not crying hot, salty tears over some illusory crisis or imagined slight? Boo-hooing about the cruelness of this cold world? Wailing because no one loves you and, to be perfectly frank, how could anyone love anyone as unloveable as you? Coughing out hitching, sniffling, snottery sobs as you try desperately to push those feelings of impotent rage and humiliation back down to the dark place they come from before all that bile makes you puke? It's no wonder you can't find time to do a little running.

I was about to post "My God, man. This has all but a postmark on it."

Then I thought about warm butter is like, and I thought, "ooooh... burn."

BTW, do you intentionally seek to cultivate the voice of Baby Stewie in the reader's head?

The whole reps and warranties section needs to be rewritten to conform to Dutch civil law. We'll be needing that first thing Monday morning. If you have any questions, I'll be reachable sporadically on my cell phone, but there are a lot of dead pockets in Vail.

We've rescheduled closing for Tuesday morning at 9, so I'll need to call you at 10:30 Monday with changes on the revision.

Happy New Year!!!

No. I'm sure the photographer took the shots with the nipples visible. I'm talking about the asshole who photoshopped them out in the lab before sending the pics to layout.

I would have expected that after all the time you spent on your knees in prison you would have greater appreciation for Mr. Cash.

So sorry to interrupt your somewhat unimaginative gloating, but Michael Doliac just e-mailed his last pointless comment and I am on. my. way.

Wow, what an obscure reference. If PLF is Stewie Griffin, then you're our Dennis Miller.

K'plah!

I for one would find these "hunter news" posts a bit more fun and interesting if I had a link to Texas wild life regulations so that I could understand the funtion of these "tags" doe-rules, etc.

Is it just me, or does the Johnny-Cash-giving- the-fuck-you-sign imagery strike everyone as sad? It ends a post that let the reader know weed's true behavior is not a Big F-U to the automatons who are making him wait- no- his true behavior is to sit impotently in his office waiting for the other side to email back different boilerplate.

You don't really know that he was sitting impotently. He's got web access. Weed could very well have been jerking off to internet porn. Or soccer scores. Or something.

Once you've read through these, the Game Warden Blotter is laugh a minute.
