She's been idle for almost 7 days. I think perhaps she's met with foul play. Or something.

you think Weed has an office with doors? Please. Senior legal assistants at 3rd tier NY firms have a cube. maybe even have to share.

You think the fact that Ironweak shares a cubicle with some other dude is going to stop him from masturbating to video clips from the latest Celtic-Rangers match?

See you at Jai Alai practice.

Finally, I advise everyone reading to bet the over (56) in the Holiday Bowl tonight, as well as on Northwestern tomorrow morning. I am on fire in Bowl Games, so get on it.

ETA: Did I say over? I meant under, honestly. However I just had a near heart attack after putting $1900 on Oklahoma +2.5 to win $100 with 8 minutes left, and then having to watch Oregon come alive and come about two inches away from winning the game by 4. Thankfully, the Leaf genes reared themselves just in time. But holy fuck, for the second time this bowl season, even taking a knee was an adventure.
Dude. I so bet against you. Thanks. Also won on Oklahoma and Utah, but am losing on UCLA right now.

My picks this weekend:

SOUTH CAROLINA -3.5 tonight
MIAMI -6.5 tonight
FRESNO ST -7.0
TEXAS TECH -3.5
LOUISVILLE +8.0
WISCONSIN +10.5
OHIO ST -4.5 (I might bet this on the money line. Notre Dame will lose, but they might make it close, but I cannot emphasize enough that Notre Dame will lose.)
GEORGIA -6.5
FLORIDA ST +10.0

Does he "like" the Japanese guy best? Atticus said liking asian guys is the first baby step to full-fagdom.

(a) Weedy, this is not like Coltrane's work. None of them have freakishly long torsos.

(2) Sebbage [pronounced like cabbage], I was being SFW. There is plenty of nipplage on the site. Go shop for the spouse. "Place Coupons Code PH05 in the comments section of the checkout form and we will deduct 15% on sale merchandise or 10% on regularly priced merchandise from your order from December 29th until December 31st. Offer expires December 31, 2005. Not to be combined with any other offers." Excludes Aubade Piraterie de l'Amour collection (a 2006 collection).

Oh, no, I'm on South Carolina and Miami too.

By the way, I bought a TON of UCLA shares at 11 when they were down 22-0. They're now winning by 7. Sweeeeeeet. Sell! Sell! Sell!

Thank God you live in Detroit, where there is so much empty office space that even the mailroom supervisor has his own office.

I can't believe I lost my teasers that included Northwestern, because not one, but TWO onside kicks got returned for touchdowns. By the same fucking guy! That Northwestern kicker is off the charts bad.

So far so good with UCLA, just need the Gamecocks to come through to guarantee the day and make Miami the gravy.

The only way I could do that is with a twinkie on a stick held in front of me.

Quiet

An uneasy quiet has settled over the board this morning and I think I know why. So I'll just articulate what I am guessing is on all of our minds. Watching the early morning Aston Villa-Arsenal fixture live on Fox Soccer Channel, and watching the artistry of Milan Baros, it is hard not to look ahead to the World Cup and recall that the U.S. will be facing not only group top seed Italy, but the potentially more dangerous Czech Republic. Well, all I can say is that, though the U.S. has undeniably drawn one of the tougher groups, remember that it was just two summers ago when unlikely Greece was on its way to the Euro Championships by knocking off arguably superior teams, including Baros' Czech Republic. I hope that provides some much needed perspective this early New Year's Eve morning.
