Hair Epiphany

Yesterday I got my hair super blow-dried for a full hour, and it was pulled and smoothed until it was a long, bouncy, glorious, shiny, sexy mane that swirled with my every move. But then I looked at the girl next to me who had had the same thing done and 1/2 hour after looking at her gorgeous long blond shiny hair, she turned around and......poof.....her face looked like a combo of Barbara Bush and that Versace chick. She had to be pushing 60. There is only so much better that I'd want my hair (or body) to look as compared to my face. I don't know how small of a discrepancy or ratio (hi TM) it should be, but that lady when she turned around transformed like the chick in the bathtub in The Shining. I think I know why chicks go "shorter' with their hair when they get older.

That's all. Carry on.

You mean like this?

Spree: TMZ, Cat Lady

http://www.tmz.com/2007/10/22/cat-found-at-mr-chow/

That happened to me a while back. I used to get my hair cut at Fekkai and my very nice [male] hairdresser/senior stylist was blowing out my very long hair [at the time] and I was zoning out and then noticed this woman next to me watching me closely and making a sour lemon face.

It was because she had nice hair, but it was dyed to cover the grey and she was olllllld. I mean really old. Shit, even tm admitted I have "nice" hair. It is now shorter.

ETA to Hank: The flu is a virus. Your antibiotic abuse only makes MRSAs.
How many people get sick after getting a flu shot? I just got one yesterday and now I have a sore throat, achiness, congestion and I feel like crap. And my arm hurts like hell. I should have just risked the flu -- at least you lose weight when you have the flu.

You know, it is even painful to read small snippets quoted by others from PPNYC. I still haven't changed that fabulous thing that happened when someone posted "click here to mute PPNYC". I think someone should post that again. You know that if DK finds her impossibly annoying, that's pretty bad b/c it borders on pot:kettle.

I haven't had the arm pain, but I've felt a bit loagy after a flu shot before. Not as bad as you sound, but definitely something.

Question

Does anyone know of cheap or free legal resources that can help a father who is having major trouble seeking visitation rights?

(By the way, don't you just love those calls from people you haven't heard from in years who only think to call you when they need legal help and assume, because you passed the bar, that you work in every area of the law? Jesus.)

You know what's FABULOUS?

The Year End Push is happening and after the slight lull with the credit markets and the sub-prime collapse it is picking up and busy. I'm very happy that is a win win for everyone. And, according to ATL, [above the law] that is so not the case everywhere.

Haven't you heard about the pharmaceutical-company-induced hysteria that causes people to get flu shots unnecessarily?
