Keep telling yourself that's equivalent to having to live in a sweaty, suited hellhole. I'm sure you'll feel better soon . . .

Huntington Beach is surf city and you can't even suggest a restaurant. there's more to life than dodging scientologists at Venice on saturdays fringey. quite being smug. cure thyself.

Don't you think A-Rod would be happier somewhere other than NYC? (Anaheim?)

You people are fucking insane.

Though, I will admit that the first line of the article is misleading in that there's no way you could get all of that and still be inside the Loop in Houston.

What's more insane is that the city limits the number of underground parking spaces. Obviously it's an effort to limit the number of cars in the city. But why not be more direct about it, and require anyone who wants to register a car in the area to show they have a parking space, as they do in tokyo?

If he continues to hit, no way. He needs the attention. If he doesn't or if the Yankees somehow make the postseason and he doesn't hit, yes.

Yes, but it was discussed that "he is sick of the NY media scrutiny" and that he would prob finish in a place like Anaheim during the home run derby or the A's game. I mean what a baby the media isn't that brutal or is it? like it was said he needs that press.

No, the people in that article are fucking insane. She bought an apartment for over a million dollars so that she could have a place to crash when she brings her kids in for their modeling appointments. I'm going to go out on a limb and say, most people don't live like that here.

I would say that about 2% of the people I know who live in the city have a car. No one I know paid that for a parking spot (most pay monthly parking at exorbitant rates, had one included in the price of their apartment or park on the street).

Unless you have a summer house, a car in New York is a pointless expense.

what I find interesting is my firm offers a firm rate for monthly parking in a garage it is reasonable. Not that we all live in the city but if I ever moved to the other side of the river, I would consider driving in. It would be cheaper than my train pass.

When he's hitting like he is this season, he can be happy anywhere. But sooner or later he'll have a rough patch again, and it seems to me -- from a distance -- that he likes being in NYC less than the next guy. If you say he needs the attention, maybe I'm wrong.

Not sure who you are calling insane. There's really no reason to own a car if you live in the city, so most don't.
