Then that would be cool.
Which was working until hockey started. I lost my focus. Now I don't know what to do -- I hate both teams in the World Series. I will get a laugh out of all the Marlins' "fans." At least they were able to sell out for the Series -- how sad if Pro Player sat as empty as during the season. Thankfully I can say that Braves fans are not hypocrites -- same feeble attendance no matter how important the game.

Screw that. Let's talk about the Jets, Giants, Rangers, and Knicks.
saw LaBron play. Its preseason, of course, but he looked good. played within his game, not trying to be a star or even a big scorer yet. he seemed comfortable and dished some seriously good assists. he was impressive.

Isn't he one of your "people"? Would explain a lot.

As for me, we usually only get "Chicago-grade" celebrities here... In other words, we have only a few that stick around and don't go to the coasts...

Seen around town: John Mahoney (Frasier's Dad); David Schwimmer; Roger Ebert; Mark Prior (I know the guy who sold him his plasma TV, whoopee...); John Malkovich; Gary Sinise; Oprah and Billy Corgan.

On planes with: Stedman Graham (Mr. Oprah) and Tyne Daly (in baggage class, large woman)

Actually met: Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn (at the same time)

And Frenchie from "Goodfellas" a/k/a the Gas Man in "Dumb & Dumber" is always at Stanleys. He was there after I learned I passed the bar. He didn't find me as funny as I found myself...

Both Ws are downtown. I think the suburban people would think a W would be to "haughty-taughty", which is why they should stay in Iowa (except for Wonk)...not b/c they live in the suburbs, but b/c they would use a phrase like "haughty-taughty"...

Doesn't really "go into" the burbs, but it touches 4 states (WI, IL, IN and MI).

Some fun facts from our friends at the Lake Michigan Federation, www.lakemichigan.org :

At over 1,600 miles long, the distance from Chicago to the Florida Keys, The Lake Michigan shoreline contains the largest lake fully within the the United States.

Lake Michigan Statistics At A Glance
Length 307 miles
Width 118 miles
Depth 279 feet (avg) 923 (max)
Shoreline length 1,640 miles

it's mid-November for god sakes, this isn't the Bahamas, it'll be freezing along the lake.
The lake is like an ocean and goes very far so there's nothing to see. Paigow, when you check in tell them you're willing to not get a lake view if they can put you closer to the bar,
and be careful about vegan talking, I think they call Chicago hog butcher for the world or something.

Which game did you watch?

Clearly not last night's:

James misses every shot beyond 15 feet

"LOS ANGELES (AP) -- LeBron James missed every jumper he attempted from 15 feet and beyond, further highlighting the No. 1 draft pick's biggest weakness in Cleveland's 86-78 exhibition loss Thursday night to the Los Angeles Lakers.

James had a night to forget in his first nationally televised NBA game, shooting so poorly from the outside that Lakers defender Devean George often backed a few feet off and dared him to let fly.

"I know he's athletic and he can drive. I wanted to see how well he can shoot," George said. "There's no reason for me to get real close on him and let him use his athletic ability when he hadn't hit a jump shot, so that was my strategy."

The 18-year-old James, who fouled out with 37 seconds left, finished just 4-for-18 from the field to drop his preseason shooting percentage to .294.

He was 4-for-12, 3-for-7 and 4-for-16 in his first three exhibition games."

That is really deep. Now I am kinda scared of falling in. Lakes are creepy- all that muck and stuff. Give me an ocean any day. I think I will leave the burberry bikini at home. unless there is a hot tub at the W?

I do rememnber it was the color of the CAribbean and not all dark and turbulent and mucky looking like the New England lakes (ie Lake Champlaign). And you couldnt see the other end which surprised me on some level but then I am not real familiar with the midwest. So on a warm day, given the color and the endlessness of it all, you could think you were in Antigua, except for all the old ladies found dead in their apartments each summer.
