This is pretty much all your fault
Question: Am I the only one who thinks that it could be at least somewhat entertaining to get good and liquored up and hit a midnight showing of the Spongebob movie?

Yes.
In other news, the mediation yesterday was a success. We paid more than we wanted to, but less than we expected. The plaintiff got less than what he wanted, but more than he deserved. The plaintiff's lawyer got yelled at by the mediator a lot, but he drives a Bentley, so what does he care? The mediator got large coin, a free lunch, and a chance to tell war stories (real ones -- Korea, 1950) to a captive audience.
And what about my cute chick client with the nice legs, you ask? Ah, yes, the client with the legs. Let us just say that my conversation with her as she headed back to the airport was more than my wife would have approved of, and yet far less than what coltrane and rp shared in that love nest in Scranton last spring.
(translation -- while my secretary made copies of the release, I told her that I enjoyed working with her, and she told me that I should join her and the rest of the W.T. Grant legal department for lunch the next time I am at the regional headquarters down in East Jesus)

As with many things, that would only be entertaining if my tongue was somehow involved. And it has other plans for the weekend.
(p.s. if you are a fan of the tv show, the movie is supposed to be quite a letdown, liquor or no liquor)

Some drugs CAN enhance movies though. I saw the first "Charlie's Angels" movie stoned out of my mind. At the time, it was phenomenal. This was at a brew n' view, where I managed to get lost every time I left my seat.
I watched it again about a year later and it was the stupidest fucking movie I had ever seen.* Must have been some pretty good pot.
Needless to say, the second movie that night was "Dude Where's My Car." I'm pretty sure that my high had worn off by that time. Even had it not, I doubt I would have laughed.
*well, not quite. See movie #2

"Dude Where's My Car" inspired the best GA poll, IMHO, ever though.

The review I read was almost excessive with its praise, but did suggest that if you're a Squidward fan, you may be disappointed.
Viz.
- The movie itself triumphs by similar means; it is a marvel of unleashed childishness, like a birthday party on the edge of spinning out of control. The familiar voices from the television show are bolstered by a smattering of movie and television stars, including Jeffrey Tambor as the King, Alec Baldwin as a tough guy for hire named Dennis, and Scarlett Johansson as Mindy (no wonder Patrick has such a crush on her). I was sorry to see my favorite secondary characters, Squidward, Sandy the Squirrel and Mrs. Puff, pushed to the margins, but my TiVo has enough memory to make up the deficit.

Sorry dude, it's doubtful you'll find a midnight showing of SpongeBob.
That time slot is reserved for movies like Reefer Madness and Rocky Horror. Or maybe Spongeworthy Bob.

And their ticket prices are ridiculous. Especially for a team that's won 40 games in the last 2 years. Last game I went to, the face value on the ticket was $102.90. Fortunately, they were free (because I wouldn't go otherwise).
Ty, the Bart takes you right there, so travel isn't really an issue. It's the desire that's an issue.

Less, RT, were you guys part of this study?
Addiction to porn destroying lives, Senate told
Experts compare effect on brain to that of heroin or crack cocaine.
WASHINGTON - Comparing pornography to heroin, researchers are calling on Congress to finance studies on “porn addiction” and launch a public health campaign about its dangers.
Internet pornography is corrupting children and hooking adults into an addiction that threatens their jobs and families, a panel of anti-porn advocates told a hearing organized Thursday by Senator Sam Brownback, chairman of the Commerce subcommittee on science.
Mary Anne Layden, co-director of a sexual trauma program at the University of Pennsylvania, said pornography’s effect on the brain mirrors addiction to heroin or crack cocaine. She told of one patient, a business executive, who arrived at his office at 9 a.m. each day, logged onto Internet porn sites, and didn’t log off until 5 p.m. (OK, one of you guys fess up).
Layden called for billboards and bus ads warning people to avoid pornography, strip clubs and prostitutes. (hahahahaha)
“We’re so afraid to talk about sex in our society that we really give carte blanche to the people who are producing this kind of material,” said James Weaver, a Virginia Tech professor who studies the impact of pornography.
Brownback, a Republican from Kansas and an outspoken Christian conservative who has championed efforts to curb indecency on television and the Internet, said the public is beginning to realize “they don’t just have to take it.”
But he acknowledged the First Amendment right to free speech has limited congressional efforts. (thank god for the Constitution!)
In June, the Supreme Court blocked a law designed to shield Web-surfing children from pornography, ruling that requiring adults to register or use access codes before viewing objectionable material would infringe on their rights.
Brownback said scientific data is needed to help his cause.
Weaver acknowledged that research “directly assessing the impact of pornography addiction on families and communities is rather limited.”
But he pointed to studies that show prolonged use of pornography leads to “sexual callousness, the erosion of family values and diminished sexual satisfaction.”
Porn is addictive

I can stop any time I want to. But, I will note this is a critcial part of the get-the-fuck-out-of-law business plan.
