Who said klansmen don't use their heads?

How could he be critically injured? The bullet only went through his head.

I've heard it said that every modern Klan meeting is half FBI agents who don't recognize each other, with another quarter split between undercover agents of the ADL and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

For as dangerous as the Klan has been in American history, I cannot imagine how the FBI, ADL, and SPLC can find a steady stream of college graduates who are willing to ingratiate themselves with these hicks for months and years at a time, and how the real members don't spot them a mile away. "He larned the secret handshake on his furst try! Git him!"

Ah, you missed the secret purpose of the bouncing bullet test.

They may be thick-skulled, but they are diabolical in their self-knowledge.

Speaking of secret handshakes, a little Icke humor for the holidays.

Icke probably made a mistake in quitting his day job. Maybe it's funnier when you hear him tell it. Timing is everything.

Talk me down, people, from buying $160 worth of stuff on overstock.com. Granted, that includes a set of 600 thread count sheets and 14 DVDs, but (recite from card the Mr. gave me for just these instances) "even if it's a bargain, you're still spending money."

Help, I'm out of control. I feel a near overwhelming need to add "Canibal the Musical," too.
Hold off on the sheets until you have researched them. I can't find the link now but I read an article to the effect that not all super high thread count sheets are better/softer than 300 count sheets. It has something to do with the quality of the cotton used and the length of the threads. The price seems suspiciously low even for an overstock site.

You might be better off with 310 count Egyptian pima cotton sheets from a known manufacturer.

I can't say anything about the DVDs; a couple weekends ago I spent $150 on classical CDs ($3/disk -- how could I resist?)) at the estate sale of a wealthy couple who were patrons of the local orchestra and opera company.

Plus Woody Allen (on Halloween).

I don't think I've ever torn a sheet, at least when using them for their intended purpose.

Sorry to be so tardy, but three words: Housekeeper, Bleach, Addiction.

I have 600-odd count sheets that are egyptian pima (or some equivalent) and bleach them regularly and they have been great. Of course, they were hundreds of dollars. But I adore and love them. I think spending big bucks on sheets is totally worth it.

I love bedding.

You should take a look at California Civil Code Section 3532, pal.

I have a three way tie. In no particular order they are:

Pretty;

Little; and

Flower.

I'm also not crazy about perineum or any combination of the words "decubitus" and ulcer", but they are distant seconds and thirds compared to the foregoing first place tyers.

The phrase "butt skunk" troubles me, but to a much lesser extent than any of the rest.

My .03.
