Teddy K's pidgeons come home to Roost

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,117986,00.html

VATICAN CITY — A top Vatican (search) cardinal said Friday that priests must deny communion to pro-abortion Catholic politicians (search), but he would not comment on whether it was right for John Kerry (search) to receive communion.

A couple of dry weeks at mass and Teddy K may soften up on putting the Right wingers on the bench.

I think he has to behead the Pope first, what with his divorce and remarriage and all.

I guess this is more of that nuanced thinking that is such a valuable trait.

That doesn't distinguish him from any of the other local boys, does it?

I am sure that Teresa does own it. She owns everything else they have.

Former NFL player Pat Tillman killed in Afghanistan

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...tillman23.html
  • WASHINGTON — Pat Tillman, who walked away from his professional football career to join the Army Rangers, was killed in Afghanistan, U.S. officials said today.

The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said a formal announcement was expected later in the day.

Spokesmen at the Pentagon and U.S. Army declined comment.

There were no immediate details on his death.

A military official, also speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that a soldier had been killed in action in Afghanistan Thursday, but could not confirm that the soldier was Tillman.

Some members of the Army's elite Ranger units were taking part in the hunt for al-Qaida and Taliban fighters in southeastern Afghanistan, the military official said.

Tillman played four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals before enlisting in the Army in May 2002. The safety turned down a three-year, $3.6 million deal from Arizona.

His brother, Kevin, a former minor league baseball prospect in the Cleveland Indians' organization, also joined the Rangers and served in the Middle East.

What did they say about the death penalty? Or is FOX not reporting on Catholic issues that they're not into, like Matthew 19:23-24?

Did he get a divorce or did he pay for one of those anullments or was that one of his brothers? I thought there was a Kennedy male who bought or tried to buy an anullment after getting a divorce from a wife he was married to for 20 years and had 3 or 4 kids with.

Yeah, that's pretty bullshit. But much worse, I caught a clip from an interview he did on Meet the Press (I think) on the Daily Show the other day - the one where he is shown an old tape on which he claims he committed atrocities in Vietnam, after which Russert asked him "did you commit atrocities?" and he responded [paraphrase] "Did I ever have hair that dark, that's the question that haunts me." Not the way for him to convince me that he is smarter than and a better public speaker than Bush. Particularly when I've seen him deal quite well with some of his other rather stupid '70s-era statements by simply and honestly observing "overheated 20-somethings with a cause say stupid things."

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

North Korea train blast kills 150

Looks like the death toll estimates are coming way down from yesterday.
