I tend to think that the Washington Post's national political coverage is a steaming heap of dung. Their reporters are far more concerned with ensuring continued access to their sources than they are with informing their readers.
Compare what Tom Ricks says in his new book Fiasco -- I haven't read it, but read the reviews -- with what he reported in the WaPo at the same time. Or just read DeLong on the subject.

That was part of the story on L&O last night. Ripped from the headlines, indeed.

I'm glad you concur with the problem. Since their sources are often Republican government officials, this has the effect of making their coverage less critical of the government than it would otherwise be.

Interesting article in the Guardian about the differences between the coverage of the war in the US and the UK.
Me, I don't get (non-sports) news from television.

An excellent question. James Wolcott has described as the leader of NRO's The Corner, the killer elite of the fighting keyboarders. A better question: Why do people bother to read NRO's The Corner?

For those who need Republican political erotica, I suppose it's comforting to have a place to go 24/7.

Hmmmm.
A couple of thoughts:
-I don't know conservative bloggers anymore than I know liberal ones, except to the extent you quote the latter group here.
-Notwithstanding the foregoing, I have madd internet serch skilz and I now know who K-Lo is.
-The joke in your caption is not so funny. While both women are, how shall we say, less than smashingly beautiful, they don't really look like alike. Frankly, I am shocked that people don't turn to stone when they eye Helen Thomas in person, although part of me wonders if the secret service places invisible blocking screens in front of her at all public events.

Personally I go to Mimi Miyagi's (or whatever her irl name is) site. She's got more erotic fire power than anyone in the Dem camp.
Between Helen Thomas, Hillary and Nancy Pelosi I don't know whether to rip my eyes out with a broach or hack my dick off with a plastic spoon.

I don't actually know what K-Lo looks like -- never even seen a picture. But I think it's sad that either gets mocked for their looks. No one gives a shit what David Broder looks like.
You are correct. It wasn't funny. Sorry. I'll try harder next time.
