My little one currently likes "Shake Your Booty."
Your father was German, right? If yes, no further explanation is needed. (I have a German parent too.) Are you familiar with this guy?

I love that song. It always reminds me of "I Married An Axe Murderer".

But kind of faux-Britishism is this "loo" thing? Why would anyone want to be pseudo-Brit, anyways?

Untrue. Mirages and illusions are what they are. They may appear to be something different, but the phrase is "It is what it is." -- not "It is what it appears to be."

Well, it's normally used to describe something that the speaker believes is unchangeable. "It is what it is" means you can't do anything to change the circumstances. The problem is that the phrase is often used when you can change the circumstances, and the speaker is lazily using it as an excuse to ignore the potential changes.
What the fuck is wrong with the big brains in Chicago?

You steal one of the best players on the best team in basketball- you make a deal that will cripple your team- fuck up my team AND hurt Ben too (no commercial $$$). Then when this guy shows up:

you finally mention you have a "no headband" rule? and I love Scott Skiles, but my god.

I suppose that is right. The better phrase would be, "There is nothing we can do about this." Then the listener can either agree or diagree. But to just say "It is what it is" seems meaningless to me. How do you argue with that statement? All thing inherently are what they are, even mirages and illusions.

You make a strong case, mon ami. However, if I am in the desert and looking at an oasis in the distance and I say "oh, an oasis. It is what it is!" I would not be using the phrase appropriately if it was not in fact an oasis, no?

Why do you have to argue about everything?
