This is the most poorly constructed sentence ever to appear on these boards.

I've been saying it for a while, but people really need to take the Tigers seriously. They are a statistical replica of the 2005 White Sox: great starting pitching, great bullpen, crazy manager, ignored/disrespected by the media. Don't be surprised if they win the Series.

The White Sox remind me of the 2005 Red Sox: great offense, average to below-average starting pitching, crappy bullpen. They are not a very good team right now.

I wonder whether Imodium AD crosses the blood-brain barrier. If not, we can experiment with alternate modes of administration.

All we need is a rotary saw and a topped-up turkey baster.

High Altitude Tents

Question for the athletes. If a facility with these tents were near you, and you could pay to spend time in these tents to assist with training, improve workouts or increase performance in races or other sports, would you do it?

If I were an athlete, I would stop pussying around with altitude tents. I would hit the EPO. Hard.

Don't they have a crap record against the better American League teams?

At least your guys are healthy. We're fielding a pre-season split-squad team every night.

If I were to get a gizmo like one of those, I would instead get one of those oxygen chambers because they keep you youthful.

Be careful of oxygen chambers--medical evidence suggests that they increase oxidative cell damage in the brain, as well as the risk that you'll eventually end up with Parkinson's disease:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0919123319.htm

Here's an "alternative medicine" site with another interesting article regarding the deleterious effects of high oxygen concentrations:

http://www.tuberose.com/Free_Radicals.html

Michael Jackson has an oxygen chamber. Frankly, he doesn't look so good. Maybe that's just the surgeries, though.

They took a series from the White Sox last week, but otherwise yes- if you mean RedSox, WS and Yankees. Plus, they've been winning 8-6 or so lately. Where is that pitching?

good points all. And I already sold my soul to the devil a la Dorian Gray, so I don't think I have anything to worry about.
