In the end, assuming the theme doesn't wildly favor one of them I think Sidd would win by 1 point, simply because of the tastes i have- totally unfair.

When I started your post, I was going to suggest that we do this -- it's been many years since the last GA trip. But having won in fiction, it seems I can only do the same or worse in fact.

I've heard on good authority that some poster here actually participated and won his firm's Iron Chef event, so you might have some competition. He played straight to the lowest common denominator and wrapped everything in bacon, I believe. If you wrapped stuff in pancetta or prosciutto or lardo or something, I'm sure you'd get the edge back.

Truffle oil, also, is an easy way to cheat people into thinking you're the most awesome chef ever.

RT, you were in the finals. don't let also rans trick you into screwing up- bacon or truffle oil will likely be overpowering of the theme ingredients.

I'm not giving any secrets away at this juncture. I'm just saying that truffle oil is a cheat ingredient.

I just got an email from my cheese monger that the Arzua Ulloa has finally arrived. I told them to set aside 4 pounds. Until Tuesday. When I'll buy out their stock.

You know nothing. I haven't used a precise recipe since I was 14. I tend to like some cookbooks for their anthropological value. On the other hand, I would probably not win because I make really good food, but I specialize in basic food.
I think truffles taste like dirt, I tend to hate cheeses other than Cheddar, Swiss, and the other basics. Anything that has a crust, green veins, or maggots is not going to ever appear in my repertoire. I hate liver in all forms other than liverwurst, and offal is spelled that way for a reason.
On the other hand, I can walk into virtually any kitchen and, if it has a few basics, I can whip up a meal that will make you think Mom stopped by. I can do steak houses better for a third of the cost. And I think my barbecue has, literally, a coast-to-coast reputation.
So, have your little contest. Coltrane and I will be happy to sit on the sidelines, washing down my brisket and red beans and rice with a few cold ones.
But thanks for playing.

He didn't play to the lowest common denominator. That's just the way he always eats.

In advance: Bite Me
It isn't wonking if I have been out of town eating clean fresh ingredients, locally grown or caught, and didn't bother turning on my computer.

good thing you don't do litigation. first rule is, once you know who your judge is, you don't give em shit.

Good thing you do ip instead of basic reading comprehension. If nominated, I will not run. If elected I will not serve.
