Hey! If the moon were made out of barbeque spare ribs, would ya eat it then?

Don't be so melodramatic. You would survive the surgery.

I think.

I've been saying it for a while, but people really need to take the Tigers seriously. They are a statistical replica of the 2005 White Sox: great starting pitching, great bullpen, crazy manager, ignored/disrespected by the media. Don't be surprised if they win the Series.

The White Sox remind me of the 2005 Red Sox: great offense, average to below-average starting pitching, crappy bullpen. They are not a very good team right now.
I agree with you comparison. But only because like last year's WS, I continue to be skeptical that their starting pitching is as good as it is performing. But if they are lucky, the pitching will hold out for the whole year before falling back to reality (like the WS). But I would look out for Kenny Rogers.

Of course, I would love to predict that the Twins are going to catch them, but not even I am that delusional.

Have you ever been in an oxygen chamber? I have problems being in super-oxygenated air. Like, I've been known to pass out when visiting people in the hospital (ICU, etc.). A doctor friend mentioned that some people have a hard time adjusting to air with that much oxygen - apparently the change in oxygen level, along with the stress of the hospital situation, speeds me up at first and then I (literally) crash. One time into the metal corner of a hospital bed with my chin.

So don't expect a visit from me if you end up in ICU or anything... (but I wish you a speedy recovery in advance)

Here's an "alternative medicine" site with another interesting article regarding the deleterious effects of high oxygen concentrations:

Michael Jackson has an oxygen chamber. Frankly, he doesn't look so good. Maybe that's just the surgeries, though.
