As you can see, none of their lawyers are allowed to smile. In the plot, she is there unwillingly, doesn't think she can handle SVU and butts in where the cops don't think she should.
Edited to say that if someone tells me how to edit the photo so the post isn't overly wide, I will do so.

There is a bit of a superior smirk around the edges of her lusciously full lips, if you ask me. I am shocked that they are not getting along. It sounds like they feel like the annoying, butting-in chick on regular L&O is the way to go. Crap. Maybe I will content myself with reruns.

I am resisting switching right now, if only because I'm trying to find out which is the lesser of the evils out there and I've heard that there might be a 40% switch over failure rate in the first few weeks.
*possible exaggeration. It could be more the fire of a mildly pissed off nova or agitated quasar. I should have paid more attention in astronomy.

Crap AT&T is not trying to convince me they love me. Also, my current phone sucks and I don't want to pay full price for a phone. I decided to be self-sacrificing and let myself be part of the beta-test (or whatever) since I rarely use my phone anyway, and I never use it out of necessity.

I have a thing for Chris Meloni, but I could never get into this show. I think it's because I'm pissed off that he (briefly) left Oz to work on this show. I much prefered him evil and naked (full frontal, probably paid less than $25,000 for the nudity too) on Oz.

So, this means that the foreign chick who's always on the L&O SVU commercials is a cop, not a lawyer? Thanks to visits to see a friend in the hospital, I've seen L&O (defined as any of the 652 versions of the show, including but not limited to "Law & Order: The Mattress Tag Removal Division") maybe 4 times total. And of the 4 times, I saw the episode where Jill Clayburgh plays the divorce lawyer twice.

Olivia is not foreign, though I can see if you define "people who do not look like Angles or Saxons" as foreign why you might believe she is foreign.

I like him too, but the one I can't stop watching is the guy from Homicide. His face is so compellingly ugly I just can't look away. Also he has a lot of scars on it, so maybe that's it.
Why do these L&O shows keep getting rid of the lawyers I like? I liked Abby - gone. I liked this blonde one (I forget her name) now gone. I don't think I like the looks of this new one - bad hair.

Whatsherface who played Abby left and got married to some football guy. I think leaving was her idea, not the show's. I miss Adam Schiff. You should send a letter to the Homicide guy telling him his scars make you hot.

The funny thing about Schilling is that he doesn't have people. He's his own agent.

I think I knew that - just blaming the show for something to do. I missed Adam Schiff until he started shilling for TD waterhouse. Now he bugs me.

Is Olivia the character's name? I meant the actress who plays her, Mariska Hargitay (thanks, google). And she ain't foreign, but her dad is; her mother is the late Jayne Mansfield (thanks, google, redux).
And I'll have you know that some of my best friends are Not Angles, Not Saxons, and Not Jutes. Of course, I wouldn't let my daughter marry one of them, nudge-nudge, wink-wink.

Here is a list of characters/seasons/pictures:
http://wolfstories2.tripod.com/id17.htm
I think an organizational flowchart (like the ones the mafia uses to know who reports to whom and who is allowed to whack whom with or without permission from who..whom..umm..whatever) would be helpful. I think the high turnover of characters is supposed to represent the high turnover in the legal field generally, and in the prosecutors office specifically. It adds a level of realism.
Either that or it is some kind of existentialist parable about man's sissyphian struggle to overcome evil, which is indomitable because it is, in essence a part of himself and therefore impossible and he is doomed to fail in misery and die alone. It could also be that they keep firing people because they don't like to give them raises. Personally, I would go with the sissyphus thing. Any show that is so reliant on plot twists obviously has writers who are big into classical greek tragedies.
Then again greeks are notoriously cheap...errr, frugal, so I go with the middle one (I think).

Ah. I understand the boredom factor a few days before Thanksgiving, when work becomes a ghost town.
He shills? I hate that. Dammit.
I liked Jill Hennessey (sp?) on L&O too, until I saw her on Crossing Jordan which I hate. Now she's ruined for me.
I particularly like watching re-runs and seeing in back-to-back episodes the same person playing a perpetrator and a defense lawyer (not the same character, duh).

They've also bought Sam Waterston to shill for them. Maybe Angie is next.
