The most interesting theory that I've heard so far --- which is nothing more than a theory, it can't be proved --- is that he was warned ahead of time by the Saudis. Now, who knows what the real situation is?

One of you has a busted abacus, because the numbers aren't coming out right.
I won't even pretend to understand Atticus's post, which eludes me. I don't understand what part of Clinton could be made with Nader protoplasm, because the two of them are diametrically opposed in such fundamental ways.

Well, if you do the math, Ayn Rand=Bill Clinton. I'm sure that's a result Club and Atticus can live with.

This is very scarry, because the only persons who understand the equation are me and AG.

I was perhaps being too subtle. The criticisms earlier had centered more on hateful personal belief systems. Now that that seems to (sort of, and questionably) have been dispelled, it's worse? He's being . . . political? Gads.

Your use of the passive tense admirably obfuscates your meaning. The "criticisms earlier" -- something I posted? What? And yes -- on something that the President is describing as a matter of the greatest moral principles, he is selling out his putative friends to please his political allies. By "selling out," I mean enshrining their second-class status in the constitution. I continue to believe that some things are above politics. On this one occasion, we apparently agree, as I gather that you do not like his position either, and are now leaping to a defense of Bush reflexively because I have attacked him.
I was really just responding Bumiller's take, which struck me as odd, nay, sycophantic. She was fresh off moderating the Dem debate the other night, in which role she reportedly performed terribly, so maybe she's just having a bad week.

My point was, I am constantly amused at how you can shift with the wind. And, selling out? Don't ask, don't tell.

I'll ask another time: What did I say earlier that makes this a shift? C'mon -- show your cards.

AssClowns Who Post Big Pictures
To those assclowns who post the large pictures that fuck up the screen size - cut it out. I have the images turned off so I don't even know which one of you assclowns did it. But even with the images turned off, it still screws up the screen sizing.
Post smaller pics or just give the links of the pics, 'kay?
