I'm glad you're talking to not me, though, because you are both about as useful and insightful as a vintage Dukes of Hazard lunchbox.

Dissent. I wouldn't count on not me to carry my lunch. Or SB if it had any meat products.

Someone tried this on me recently. Does anyone actually find that attractive? I read it (perhaps based on the ickness of the guy involved) as "The person who knows me best in the world finds me utterly unfuckable."

Just an FYI for when you go back in time to try this - is that you'll be sadly disappointed. The drunk chicks in the bar that you'll be hitting on will hear "widower" and think, "hm, emotional baggage, in-laws, sad mementos around the house - nah, I'll screw this construction worker guy here to my left."
Say, my wife is out of town with her tennis pro - we have an open marriage. That'll work better.

With that said, how TM can take a question within one conversation about a highly publicized story of a man charged with killing his wife and a question about a past similar scenario of a highly publicized story of a man charged with killing his then ex-wife and decide that it must be a race-related query demostrates that he's such a fucking racist his schtick isn't funny anymore.

I think you're not reading his posts correctly. He walks softly, but carries a big schtick. Or so I've heard.

You're kidding right? Widower means "wants to be loved, in need of comfort, and isn't afraid of commitment." Much more so than the open-marriage thing.

For the record, I not only purchase, but also prepare meat products all the time for others...and this doesn't mean opening a can of dog food for the mutts.
Wonk, I'd carry your lunchbox anywhere you asked, if your arms were amputated and your stubs didn't have a good hook onto which to hang your lunchbox. For you, anything.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Wasn't there a SATC episode on this subject? and then Charlotte found that dozens of women all felt sorry for the widowed prick?

It depends on what you are looking for. Widower could spell n-e-e-d-y. Although "open marriage" man doesn't sound too much fun either. Sounds too 70s, like he also goes to EST.

Yeah. I'm still going with construction worker guy for the one nighter. A guy who says he's in an open marriage is always lying about it. Unless he's just a big old skeeze, then I wouldn't be talking to him anyway.
I would be too worried that I'd be the first one after the death and there'd be a whole lot of guilt on the widower's part and he'd burst out crying about how he missed his childhood sweetheart. Even if he was lying about it - you just don't know.
Plus there'd be that ghost in the room - I couldn't take that.

Speaking of ghosts...recall back to the adoption of my dogs from the family where the husband shot the wife ( I think it was some sort of race issue, TM, can you help me on this one. The husband was a caucasian mutt and the wife was an Austrian)...the family that is now there....a housekeeper (no English) laid her daughter down for a nap in the room where the shootings happened. Daughter (and mother) had no known knowledge of the shootings and likely weren't reading the washingtonpost. WHen woken up from her nap, the little girl said in Spanish (which was translated later) "I kept waking up when that woman with the blonde hair got into bed with me." So, I guess she's haunting her old digs...not that the husband is around to bring booty home.

I don't see the racial aspect of this, unless you left some part out about the housekeeper not having car insurance or how the Holocaust was a hoax or something.
