I don't think this is true, at least among current posters. There are posters that push very close to the line. Paigow doesn't even know what a line is.

I said people are afraid she will do this. I didn't just make this up. I think the fears are not unreasonable. But they are more likely to involve a spouse than a boss.

Actually, this is an outing under the rules established back in the day. Obviously, recently I've stopped caring about that sort of thing, but it still pisses me off. You can bet your ass that if I sat down and posted a list of all the things I know about Paigow from the board alone, she would scream bloody murder about the outing attempt. For good reason, because anyone with half a brain could figure out who she is. And that's without any reference to the stuff she's been bitching about in the last week. If she comes back (and she'll come back) perhaps we can try it as an experiment.

There are posters I like who are in blood-hate feuds with her. But feuds exist beyond her, they can't all be eliminated.

Agreed. How many people have you driven off the board, though? If you had, would it make you happy, give you a sense of accomplishment? I don't think it would. That's why, as big an ass as you are*, you're no Paigow.
*You know, the feud thing.

I guess there's a certain consistancy in being 6'11" and unable to make free throws (on the intnernet).

You might want to go read the definition of "Transition Defense" on the Infirmation FAQ. One of the reasons that we deliberately made it so you cannot search for every single post a poster has given is so information provided by posters cannot by easily culled.

I'm very curious about the apparent throngs of posters she's driven off of the board. Who does this include? And have these posters communicated with you or other moderators that Paigow is the reason they stopped posting? And did they say exactly what she did that caused them to stop posting?

I don't think she searched.
Is there a time limit for references?
If I mention why you know Oscar, then mention what your name was before then mention you fly to Chicago, is that wrong? I'm not trying to be an ass Rt, but really where do you draw the "remembering details" line?

Yes, let's talk about outing. I bet I've spent more time with Paigow over the past four years than anybody else on this board. She's had numerous opportunities to out people to me, either deliberately or inadvertently. She has never provided with me enough information about any one poster that I could figure out who that person was.
However, there are other people on this board, one in particular (who has not, to my knowledge been banned) who has outed so many people to me both deliberately and inadvertently that a bunch of people on this board would crap their pants if I made a list. A few other posters have inadvertently outed people to me too. None of them have been banned. I've accidentally provided potentially outable information in private forums, and I haven't been banned.
Everybody has accidentally dropped info about another poster to someone else on im or in person. If we banned everybody who did that, this board would be more of a graveyard than it already is. Before we accuse Paigow of outing people, or of creating a viable threat of outing, I'd like to know what she's posted on a public forum that could actually lead to a real outing.

She drove several posters of the Infirmation DC board, and as they left, they made it clear why. More recently, I have been told personally that someone was no longer interested in participating on the boards because of Paigow's incessant attacks. I'm sorry, but I can't say who out of respect for that person's privacy. Let's just say that Paigow's attacks were apparently more viscious than they appeared to outsiders based on private information she was privy to.
Am I biased? I haven't liked Paigow since the first time she tried to out me (probably not on purpose) back on Infirmation. That doesn't mean that her departure isn't a net benefit to the board.

True, true, my friend.
One point, however. I think you mistakenly posted this in response to the wrong post. I am pretty sure you meant to respond to the baseless anti-The Daintiest Petunia vitriol spewed by Hank the Hater.

If that poster is too much of a pussy to let people know that they are leaving the board specifically b/c of Paigow, I'm not so sure they are a great loss. And it's been a few years since we left Infirmation. We've lost tons of posters in that time -- how many of them are b/c of Paigow? Anybody who can't stand to be attacked occassionally probably shouldn't be posting on a board like this.
