Well, the image of you tying someone up and fucking his brains out was a good start.... but ruined by that stupid little "hang in there" kitty avatar.
May I suggest something with breasts?

Damn, Hank. How much did you have to drink last night?
I knew I should have watched the rest of the Pistons-Pacers game on Friday.

No. My wife and some friends used the seats. I had the same view you did.
You know, the internet lets you go read other cities papers. I read the Indy Star this morning- the Reader's Forum has people wanting THE PISTONS barred for the season. It's amazing how different people's perspectives can be. I saw:
1 50 seconds left in a game that's over, Artest does a sort-of cheap shot on Ben. Ben hits him. Ben is known as a clean player, and I've never seen him get anywhere near that pissed off before. Some background, the last time they played, Artest sucker punched Hamilton in his broken nose. He's not well-liked on the Pistons. Ben is also on edge because his brother died last week.
Still Ben is out of line. Maybe a 1 game suspension at that point- maybe not.
2 As everyone is trying to calm Ben down, Artest is laying on a table basically mocking Ben. An idiot throws a beer at him.
3 Artest followed by Jackson goes into the stands and start beating up a guy who clearly wasn't the one who threw the beer- the guy was still holding his beer.
At that point Artest had to be suspended for dozens of games, right? and what possible excuse did Jackson have for hitting the guy. The guy being hit? He won the lottery- 2 millionaires want to beat me up on National TV? PM me- let's set that up.
4 Once up there another fan (who TV said was the actual beer thrower) started hitting them. Guess why players aren't supposed to go into the stands?
5 Once Artest is back on the floor another guy (who security should have grabbed) walks up to Artest. Artest decks him- excuse? Arguably self-defense. The guy gets back up and O'Neal decks him. No possible excuse. Another new millionaire though.
6 After having beaten up several fans the Pacers walk down the aisle and other idiots pour more beer. Some double idiot throws a chair.
The Pistons say they have ID'd 90% of the fans. They'll lose their season's tickets (Those guys had some pretty good seats- losing them is no joke). The Police are considering prosecution of fans, but really what's the penalty for throwing a beer? The chair came from off-camera so the worst guy may get away with it.
What's fucked up is, now they'll probably suspend Ben for a few games to seem even. My feeling is Artest and Jackson should be gone a long time and O'Neil at least 10.
I realize drunk idiots were as much to blame, but you know yourself Ty, fans that close work the visiting teams over every game starting in High School. There was no way a beer should have set that off.

Artest is a stupid motherfucker who should be kicked out of the fucking game for life. If I was playing against him every last word would be "Bill Lambeer is fucking your mama"

Dangerfield mocked me for saying My Morning Jacket sounded like '70s AM radio. This afternoon I came into possession of a disc of MMJ doing "Golden" in a live set in which they ended by quoting the first verse of Bread's "I Want to Make It with You."
I shit you not.

Everyone knows there are two unspoken rules of the utmost importance in basketball. When someone is in the air, you do not (i) shove him in the back or (ii) undercut or lowbridge him. When you are in the air you are at your most vulnerable and a cheap shot like the one Artest gave could end your career. Either you go for the ball or you leave him alone. Artest deserved to be punched in the face and I (and most others) would have done the same thing. Big Ben may get suspended, but he was in the right.
I agree with everything else you said. Artest is a fool and Jermaine O'Neal should get arrested.

Anyone think that the "narcotic" involved wasn't weed (will spare you my rant about how weed is not a narcotic)?
Somebody cue Sebby for an anti-drug war rant. I don't have the energy. Although I do think it is a little ridiculous to call it child endangerment to be smoking some weed while they are home (assuming we are talking weed).

Artest was suspended for the rest of the year (73 games), Jackson for 30 and O'Neil for 25. I'm not sure that is enough for the latter two.
Wallace got 6 games. Based only on the descriptions I have read, that sounds a bit much to me, but I guess they had to give him more than one game to balance things out.

I just didn't want to seem like a homer. I agree Ben didn't do much wrong given the circumstances. 2 hours ago I would have said, "but Ben is too important to the Pistons and shouldn't have risked the suspension, he should have walked away." Now I know Ben's 6 game suspension (which is unfair) came with suspensions so long that they effectively wrecked the no.1 contender.
Ben's crafty, but I wonder if he's that crafty.
